  1. I'm moving on from my 2003 TT-R 125LE to a Harley 883 Sportster. I'm not gonna be getting on thumpertalk much anymore until i get me another dirtbike. Just wanted to say thanks to those of you that have given me advice throughout my past year and a hlaf of tt-r ownership.
  2. I'm selling my TT-R 125LE and moving up to either a 125 smoker or 250 thumper. I am torn between which to get. I have heard a lot of different stuff and mixed opinions between 2 & 4 stroke, but I appreciate all opinions and feedback on the pros and cons on either 2 or 4 stroke Thanks in advance.
  3. Ok if the bike is out of gas you need to listen to what im about say or type or whatever very carefully 1. do you have a gas can... its probably red 2. ok if you have mad it this far very good... if the gas can has gas in it i want you to first remove the cap on the nozzle.... you still with me? 3. now on the dirbike there should be a round looking cap on the top of the gas tank i want you to turn this cap to the left (counter clockwise) 4. once the cap is removed stick the nozzle of that red can we talked about earlier and tip the can unitl the liquid inside begins to flow into the gas tank 5. now replace both caps on both the gas can and gas tank 6. now try kicking the bike over
  4. BBR sells a 26mm for $299... www.bbrmotorsports.com
  5. Pullers. you need at least two pullers. one for the fly wheel and one for the crankcase. The yamaha manual called for several retarded "special" tools. but we just ghetto rigged some custom made pullers and used an impact wrench and finally got it all tore apart. I didnt take good enough pictures and cant really explain it to you. but its not that bad. just keep all your parts organized. replace gaskets. clean parts well before putting them back in.
  6. I finally got my crankcase split on my 2003 TT-R 125LE now I gotta order my parts and throw it all back together... Oh well here are some pictures I took during the first half of this stressful project... http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a113/Leroy125/bikes/IMAG0070.jpg http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a113/Leroy125/bikes/IMAG0069.jpg http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a113/Leroy125/bikes/IMAG0057.jpg http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a113/Leroy125/bikes/IMAG0056.jpg http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a113/Leroy125/bikes/IMAG0059.jpg http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a113/Leroy125/bikes/IMAG0074.jpg http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a113/Leroy125/bikes/IMAG0073.jpg http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a113/Leroy125/bikes/IMAG0072.jpg http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a113/Leroy125/bikes/IMAG0071.jpg http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a113/Leroy125/bikes/IMAG0063.jpg http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a113/Leroy125/bikes/IMAG0054.jpg did most of this project by myself but some of my more experienced freinds were there for me when i needed a tool.
  7. Really big and long and deep mud hole.... i had done it before it should have taken it but i dunno she broke
  8. I stripped first gear and im in the middle splitting the case so heres where i am so far..... http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a113/Leroy125/bikes/IMAG0059.jpg http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a113/Leroy125/bikes/IMAG0057.jpg http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a113/Leroy125/bikes/IMAG0056.jpg http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a113/Leroy125/bikes/IMAG0063.jpg ^^^^chewed up gear teeth^^^ http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a113/Leroy125/bikes/IMAG0054.jpg
  9. rotmfflmao..... great music
  10. yeah thats the only bad thing about getting a new bike is getting it dirty for the first time
  11. Yes the bike for the most part has been maintenance free, but I recently stripped first gear and im now in the process of splitting the case and it is really complicated to read the manual's horrible diagram and the book calls pullers "special tools". My freinds who have dealed with work like this on honda motors before say it was much easier... Have you ever split the crankcase on your tt-r or crf? And no im not 10 im 15.
  12. I'm am pretty soon gonna up grade to a new bike either 125 or 250 smoker. I' am now on a TT-R 125L but im 15 and im 6' 3". Don't get me wrong the yami was a great bike but when it comes to working on it its difficult. My freinds are telling me to go red and get a Honda. What do yall think?
  13. 2003.
  14. I found a good haynes repair manual but it is for a 2000 ttr 125. I am going to split the crank case and replace first gear.. do you think the 2000 year model book will be ok?????
  15. just bumps it to the top of the forum
