    obemp needle part number

Here is the Yamaha part # for the obemp needle 5JG-14916-MP-00, obemn is 5JG-14916-MN-00 This needle was used in the Canadian and European YZ450s That must be why Eddie thought that it wasnt a Yamaha needle

    obemp needle part number

Yes they are I have bought one from the yamaha dealer before but I lost the part number and I cant remember the model it came in so I can look it up in the manual. If you know of another place I can source them out that would be great. I dont want to go with the ocemp as they are brass
  3. can any one tell me the yamaha part number for the obemp or the obemn needle or year and model of bike yamaha put them in I have done a search and did not come up with anything

    06 525 xc jetting

Dave thanks for the info i was just concerned that this needle being leaner in th 5th digit ®then what others were running i changed my mind and ran the larger main and use that as a starting point so i wouldnt discolor header pipe. The bike would overheat very easily chugging around in the tight stuff with the stock needle in. Now that the bike is broke in i can start running it wide open and play with main jets.

This needle obemr (out of 04 yz450f) worked extermely well with 172 main clip#4 45pilot fuel screw 2 turns, no more bog and i wasnt able get it to overheat in the tight stuff or hill climbing. Isnt it great they finally made the perfect bike for us old fat guys

    525xc

Just bought this bike and its everything i tried to make my yz450f into and so much more. Been reading up on jetting for these bikes and other than JD an ocemn-obeln seems to be the way to go . I have an obemr that i will try until i can get the other needle. With this needle being leaner in diameter can i make up the difference on the pilot. I starting with obemr needle 4th clip position 45 pilot 2turns out and 160 main. I have put in honda diaphagram also. I ride between 2000 and 4000 feet Any thoughts or advice would be great

  8. I have bought race tech gold valves for my 03 yz450f and having second thoughts about which way to go. Should i remove mid valve or not it doesnt look like the easiest thing to do. Have talked to someone that did it and he said the front end was always diving. I ride mostly woods, hill climbs and the odd hare scramble which i would like to do alot more of. I enjoy this bike alot except in the hare scrambles where the front forks are way too harsh. Anyone installed these valves for this aplication with success and with or without mid valve.I weigh 225 and consider myself an intermediate rider.
