  1. I have a KTM 525 EXC and have ridden a 450 EXC - the 450 feels more like a motocross bike compared to the 525; that is it rev's faster and feels a little more nimble in my opinion. That said I use my 525 for supermoto of course, then I throw the dirt wheels on and adjust the suspension and odometer etc. (about an hour and a half worth of work) and ride it to the rocky trails of central PA for some abuse. And it does all with incredible ease! I also have a beefed up KX250F for motocross days though. Are you going to ride it to the track to ride on the track? I wore out a motocross specific only tire in about 300 miles of 30/70 on/offroad riding FYI - I would think either bike would work but the 450 might be a little easier to ride like a Motocross bike.
  2. Does anyone know if the Acerbis 3.4 gal tank (designed for the 2008 KTM's) will fit on my 05 525? With or without any mods? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.
  3. I am thinking about getting the Akrapovic full exhaust and I really want to hear/see what gains you had.
  4. Team Green Jetting Specs: Scroll down to page 30 of the PDF http://www.kawasaki.com/Content/pdfs/insideTeamGreen/ITG-0606-Pages22-32.pdf
  5. Go Ride guys....
  6. I had these made up for the dealership that I work at: WE HAVE A FEW OF THESE LEFT FOR 250F'S AND 450F'S. EMAIL BRETT AT PARTS@KISSELLMOTORSPORTS.COM IF YOU ARE INTERESTED!
  7. The M403 and M404 should be available at any dealer....they are not in the catalogs but if the parts guys go to their supplier's website and search for it, they can find it. I have a M402 on the rear of my Kawi now and I just ripped off enough side knobs to justify trying the new M404. I will post back with how it turns out.
  8. sounds like my family except both me and my father have KXF's, my brother and dad share a YZF, and my brother has a CRF heh:ride:
  9. I had bad bogging issues on my 06 CRF250R and tried a lot of stuff including the Pro Circuit carb specs; after all that and messing around with different jets and float height I still had bogging issues. I got ahold of TBT and ordered one of their 2006 Carb Mod Kits and it worked wonders on my bike. I only got it to bog twice and really hard G-out landings. MUCH BETTER THAN STOCK! Get yourself one of those and your bike will run a lot better. P.S. it takes some tidious work but it is well worth it. Good luck.
  10. I have both the 05 CRF450 and the 06 CRF250 and I think the 250f handles much better. I haven't gotten a chance to ride the 250f on a track with jumps just a flat track with lots of corners and it is a ton easier to manuever through the turns. The 450 does have some awesome power though, but if you are light enough the 250f is plenty powerful.
