    Auxiliary oil tanks wanted

Hey guys, I just got a 2003 450R to roadrace and run supermoto this upcoming season. I was concerned with the high revs the bike will run at and the small amount of oil it holds. I saw that Baja Designs used to make an auxiliary oil tank kit, but they no longer offer it. Does anyone have experience with these at high RPM for extended time and what happens with oil temps. Does adding one of these auxiliary tanks help much? Are they necessary? Any and all info will be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Dan www.RaceLabz.com
  2. Will an RM125 motor fit in an RM80/85 chassis? Newer stuff, year 2000+. We have a short rider who wants more power than the RM80/85 has, but will not be able to fit on a bigger bike. I don't mind doing some fabrication, but don't want to have to cut up the whole frame cradle. Interested if the motor will actually fit before we go and buy one. Thanks, Dan
  3. Will a KX125 motor fit in a KX80/85 chassis? Newer stuff, year 2000+. We have a short rider who wants more power than the KX80/85 has, but will not be able to fit on a bigger bike. I don't mind doing some fabrication, but don't want to have to cut up the whole frame cradle. Interested if the motor will actually fit before we go and buy one. Thanks, Dan
  4. Will a CR125 motor fit in a CR80/85 chassis? Newer stuff, year 2000+. We have a short rider who wants more power than the CR80/85 has, but will not be able to fit on a bigger bike. 5. I have the front-end off of a 1996 KX-100 that I am installing on my KLX-110 and need a replacement front brake rotor. I am looking for a "floating" front rotor that is the same size as stock. I have looked but nowhere does it state that any of the rotors are "floaters" and I don't want to just keep ordering them until I get the right one. Anyone have any experience with these? Thanks, Dan

    Wanted: KX65 hubs

I am looking for a pair of hubs to lace for supermoto wheels. I only need the hubs, no rims spokes, rotors or sprocket. I believe any year KX or RM 65 will work. If you have a set of bent wheels around, turn them into some cash. Thanks, Dan

    Smj?

Alright guys, remember that thread about how many times a day do you check SMJ? Well, I have to change my answer. I originally figured 5-8 times a day, but now I will have to say 30 or so! I can't believe how frustrating it is not being able to log on to our beloved SMJ. Until later, Dan

    KLX-110 big-bore vs stroker crank ????

Takegawa 138 +R kit or Kitaco 143 SE kit??? I am thinking of going with the 138+R kit and a stroker crank. Any thoughts??? I like the idea of roller rockers.
  11. I have a KLX 110 that is bored to 130cc with a cam, carb and exhaust. I just got wasted by a bored and stroked 110. How big a difference is there in just doing an up-bore to 160cc vs. a stroked crank with my current 130cc kit. I do not know what size the bike that beat me was(130 + stroke, 143 + stroke, 150 + stroke??), he won't say? My bike "seemed" to run fine but the other was just flat-out faster everywhere. Anyone with some experience, your response will be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Dan Lipperini Jr
  12. I have a DRZ110 with the following mods: BBR130, BBR cam, Yosh Tri-Oval exhaust, PitBoss foam air cleaner w/Outerwears cover and I just installed a BBR 26mm carb kit. I am having a problem with jetting the carb. I have a CO meter and with the supplied jets, I cannot get it lean enough at idle. I was wondering if others are having luck with any of the 20, 22.5 or 25 pilot jet? The main jets supplied are 150, 160, 170, 180, 190 & 200. What an assortment. The carb came with the 190 installed, but after a quick call to BBR, they suggested a 160. It's wierd as the top end does not feel any different with the 160 than it does with the 180. I am stumped. I was hoping someone with alot more experience would post a response. Thanks for looking, Dan Lipperini Jr

    2002 Ktm 520 Exc

I am considering a 2002 KTM 520 EXC that was converted to motard that will do double duty as a commuter bike & trackday toy. Can anyone tell me the good, the bad and the ugly about this particular model. My main concern is its ability to go on 100 mile road rides. I have heard of problems with the oiling system and don't want to invest in a bike if it cannot do what I need it to do. Any and all help is appreciated. Thanks, Dan Lipperini Jr www.twojacks.com

    VOR 530SM-E oil capacity???

I am changing the oil in my 2003 SM530E and NOWHERE in the owners manual does it give the oil capacity. I have checked the manual front to back and was hoping to find a "capacities" page/chart or even a reference to how much to use with a filter change. Can anyone give me an idea or starting point so I don't overfill it. I would have checked how much came out, but of course the crush washer fell in the pan and I had to dump the oil to retrieve it. Thanks, Dan Lipperini Jr www.twojacks.com
