  1. Where is the noise coming from when the back brake is applied. Is not in clutch area as I thought it was.I have upgraded the disk pad and think this may be the cause for my noise, but im only guessing. The noise seems to sound something like a little grinding and I can feel a vibration where my foot touches back brake lever when applied.
  2. Good To Know It Is Not Cam Chain Tightner.your Guess Is Right (on Opposite Sides Of Fresh Gear Teeth).i Have Found Out This Is Where My Little Grind Noise Though Very Seldom Is,(not At All When I Shift Pass Neutrul Slowly) Thanks And Going To Hit The Trail Tomorrow.
  3. 2001S WITH 2000 MILES,WORRIED ABOUT THE 2-3 SECOND LIGHT GRINDING NOISE FROM CLUTCH AREA SIDE OF ENGINE AS I DOWNSHIFT FROM 2ND TO FIRST WITH CLUTCH PULLED IN AS I COME TO A ROLLING STOP. NOT CONSISTANT BUT MAYBE 1 OUT OF 10 TIMES. NEVER MAKES SOUND UP SHIFTING AND ALL GEARS WORK PERFECT.CAN CAM TENSIONER MAKE NOISE?
  4. O.K. TO LET YOU KNOW YOUR RIGHT. A LITTLE MORE IN TUNE WITH THE KICKSTAND BEING DOWN IS SOMETHING OF AN EASY FIX. BIKE IS BACK RUNNING PERFECT.THOUGH HAVING STILL( HEARD A LITTLE SQUEAL)FROM CLUTCH ENGINE AREA IM GOING TO GET RID OF SENTHETIC OIL TO SEE IF NOISE GOES AWAY.THANKS FOR IF THE KICKSTAND IS DOWN,BIKE WILL DIE.I QUESS WE WILL NEVER KNOW WHO WOULD FORGET ,NOT MEEE.
  5. WITH CLUTCH LEVER KEPT PULLED IN AT IDLE, AS SOON AS BIKE IS SHIFTED INTO FIRST THE MOTOR DIES, EVEN BEFORE LETTING THE CLUTCH ENGAGE AND EVEN IF I TRY TO ADD A LITTLE THROTTLE.I HAVE NEW SEMI SYNTHETIC OIL IN WITH 2000 MILES ON MY 2001S.THE (CLUTCH I AM ASSUMING) DID MAKE SOME WEIRD NOISE DOWNSHIFTING TO FIRST COMING TO A STOP A DAY BEFORE THIS. A WHERE DO I START TO LOOK.AS BIKE HAD BEEN PERFECT SINCE OIL CHANGE FOR A COUPLE OF RIDES.
  6. I DONT HAVE A 140 MAIN JET YET.I AM RUNNING ADYNOKIT STAGE 1,A 132 MAIN JET,25 PILOT,3X3 CUTOUT AND PRESENTLY HAVE, TO SAY, I LIKE THE IMPROVEMENTAS I HAVE MORE RESPONSIVE POWER FROM BOTOM TO TOP.THE 3X3 HOLE WITH NO JETTING(STOCK) IS ALMOST HALF OF WHAT TO EXPECT COMPARED WITH A STAGE 1 DYNOJET KIT INSTALLED.
  7. I dont why the dealership didn"t fill the radiator/. Must have been(IT WAS) an air bubble which caused the red light to come on and overheating the engine.Just to let you know I am really happy with my new dynojet kit STAGE 1.THANKS TO YOU I AM FINALLY RIDING AGAIN.
  8. The 2001 Drz400s Has 2500 Miles- 3x3 Cutout And K-n Air Filter, stock Exhaust, and I Am At Sea Level, with The 132 Main Jet,25 Pilot, dynojet Kit 4th Clip Position Just Installed By Suzuki Dealership.my Question, Would THIS Jetting Cause The Engine To Overheat.Had Suzuki Dealership Install Jetting. Went For A 10 Minute Ride-nothing Except For Opening It Up A Little And Red Light Came On. They Should Have Kept In The Stock 142 Main Jet Like I Asked? What Should I Look For IF ITS NOT THE JETTING. The Overheating Became On Way To Fast.
