    Bozeman area question

The cost of living in Belgrade or Manhattan is a bit lower, but you'll spend spend 45 min to an hour driving into Bozeman every morning and night, as the traffic is horrible. I know several people who regret trying to save a few bucks on housing. As far as tracks go, there is a track west of Belgrade that is open Wed and Thurs after 6 pm($5) and after noon on Sat and Sun ($10). There is a club track on River Road that costs $150ish per year and another club track in Livingston, about a 20 min drive from Bozeman. All three tracks are worthwhile. If you want more information or contact info, PM me.

    Race info...??

Check out the HCMA at www.montanamotocross.com. There is another series in eastern MT and North Dakota, but I don't know what it's called-- they race in Miles City, etc.

    Montana: Anyone ride Radersburg?

There are some pretty cool trails up there, but I wouldn't compare it to Pipestone. The trails peel off the logging roads here and there, so you kind of have to slow down and look for them. I've heard the rumor about a "track" up there too, but the closest I could find is the area right where you park-- you can sort of make your own by following some of the trails in a circle.

    Powerbomb headpipe?

I had a Powerbomb on my '03 450 which worked fine with the stock exhaust. It is a bit stronger than stock, but it still didn't take too much to put a thumb print sized dent in it. Definitely recommend a guard for it.

    Gas prices, blah!

feeling pretty lucky in Montana. It's still $2.84 for 87. Filled the truck up last night though, I'm sure $3.00 is coming by the weekend...

    Montana....Pipestone or not?

I've got to bail on the Pipestone ride-- I dislocated the joint where my thump meets my wrist and jacked up my shoulder in Lewistown last week. Have fun if you go.

    your favorite mx boot

Fox Forma Pro's for me. They are holding up really well, super comfortable and quite a bit cheaper than the Tech 8's.

    Hey fellow Montanans

g_man80, yea, I ride the Bozeman track occasionally. We usually ride at Van Ry's (west of Belgrade next to the interstate)-- the jumps are quite a bit bigger. We're riding the Bozeman track tonight (Friday) and will be at Van Ry's Wednesday or Thursday next week most likely. Come on out if you want. I'm up for a Pipestone ride whenever, if others are going.

    Hey fellow Montanans

Racing... I did enough watching earlier this season b/c of a separated shoulder. It's the last race in the HCMA series and should get a decent turn out.

    Hey fellow Montanans

Hello from Bozeman. Is anyone going to the Lewistown race this weekend?
  12. $5800 seems really high, considering I just paid $5999 for my '05.

    shoes for running

If you're really serious about running, go to a quality running shoe store. Often they will use a treadmill and slow motion camera to watch your running style and the angles of your legs and ankles. From there, they will find you a shoe that will make sure your ankles are straight with your legs, which will prevent injuries and soreness. I have a pair of adidas that have more support on the inside of my foot than the outside, which keeps my ankles from folding in when I step down-- it made all the difference from the $30 "running shoes" I had before... a lot less soreness after I get done.
