  1. Hi, Harley's Comet was built by Ron Griewe for Cycle World Magazine as a project bike. It used a sportster 1200 (evo) engine, C&J frame, and KTM wheels. He also built the "Ultra Ogre 510" that was a marriage of a Husky 510 engine and Honda CR500 frame. Sadly Ron passed away recently. A monument to Ron has been placed at the 4-corners area of the California desert, he will be missed but never forgotten. Ron later went on to work with ATK, and never lost his love of the desert. Ron Bauer has a website www.motonews.com/shameless/bauer10/ which soon if not by now will have info on Ron Griewe. I cannot remember the year/month of those Cycle World articles the Comet and Ultra Ogre were in, but I have them in my collection and will post more info later.
