  1. Thanks Boogieman. I'm on the 3rd clip for the needle
  2. Well, after a owning my bike for a few months, I was finally able to get out for a 30 mile ride yesterday. Man it felt great and I loved the bike. I noticed this before I rejetted, the bike seemed to drip fuel out of the overflow. I'd notice this after I rode around my yard and shut it off. I always shut the fuel off when I'm done as well. But yesterday while out on my ride, I stopped to setup the camera for some video and while the bike was idling I noticed fuel dripping out of the overflow. The other thing that happened, is as I rode on throughout the day, my idle seemed to pick up. So I backed down the idle adjustment screw. Currently the carb has the stock pilot, an NECJ needle and a 162 main jet. The air screw is turned out about 2.5 to 2.75 turns. I'm right around sea level give our take a few 100 feet. Temps were around 80F and fairly dry. Is it carb overflow hose routing? Float? Or is this normal? Other than this issue, the bike ran great. I had a blast and can't wait to get back out.

    Beta Main Jet Part Numbers?

My local dealer is more of an idiot then me. I just called them and asked and they said for me to bring on the main jet and they could "probably" match it up. Much easier just giving them a part number apparently. In fence of my own stupidity, I didn't realize all of the keihin jets were interchangeable. Everyone talks about the Suzuki needles and I assumed these are all brand specific specs/part numbers.
  5. I'd like to try a 162 MJ in my '15 300RR. I'm just wondering if anyone has a part number? I found the part numbers for the Suzuki NECJ needle which I also plan to switch too. Thanks in advance!
  6. I was reinstalling my cleaned air filter for the first time and had a minor issue. Specifically, it's thr aluminum piece that inserts into the filter to hild itnitnin place. That piece is held on by a star washer and tension (not sure of the technical term). That is the piece that fell off on me. It seems to me you could drill and tap this piece then use a washer and bolt to hold it in place on the aluminum retaining rod. Has anyone else had an issue with this setup and if so how did you fix it? Here's a picture of what I'm talking about.

What did you do to your Beta today ?

I added Cycra's, Fastway Evo pegs in the lo-boy position as well as 2" Rox risers.
  8. He wanted something that would be better suited for dual sporting. He picked up another Beta. Just a 4 stroke from his dealer.

    Show me your...BETA !

It clashes, I know. But I like orange. And I like my Beta. So it stays.
  10. Thanks guys. I'm a newb....but did just go now to Beta's site and download the available manuals. I actually think I have a few new BR7ES laying around from a gas R/C car I had. When you say ATF, you do mean automatic transmission fluid I'm assuming? Any brand in particular.
  11. It seems almost serendipitous that I brought home my new to me 2015 Beta 300rr race edition yesterday the same day my daughters Beta Fish moved on to fishy heaven down our toilet drain. The previous owner is still trying to look for his manual to give me, so I figured I'd post up basic questions to get me started. 1) How does the Map Switch work? I believe that is what the switch is on the left side of my bars. Two buttons, a smaller and a larger one. 2) Recommended gear case oil? 3) What spark plug/ gap? 4) What octane fuel do you use. As well as your preferred premix oil and ratio. 5) Most preferred sprocket combo for single track riding. No extreme enduro stuff. And here she is:
