  1. Hi I notice the speedo on my bike would not register at above 30km/h. Below 30km/h it seems to work fine. The magnet in the disc moves slightly which i think it has always has. Has any one come across this problem? Thanks
  2. Hi Mud Rat, I experience the same problem. The sun / heat effects the LCD display when the display gets too hot. I have just put up with it. a solution would be good. Z
  3. Hi Babo, Is it possible to forward the pics of the mods to the exhaust to ziyaad@tofie@hotmail.com . I have been wanting to get a bit more go out of my bike without spending a lot of money on expensive aftermarket exhaust. Cheers Zee
  4. Hi Techieguy, Yes everyone says the Akra is the way to go but the price is what holds me back. I will check out the air filter. Cheers Z
  5. Hi I have a 625 SXC and have been researching after market mufflers for a bit more power and a better exhaust note. I believe the the acrapovik is the way to go but this comes at a price $$++. I'm looking for a cost effective alternative to spending the $$ to gain a bit more performance. I have been made aware of a exhaust shop which modifies the standard muffler to remove the restrictions and makes it a straight through exhaust. He claims a 4% power increase and a better exhaust note for about AU$180. Has anyone had any experience with this type of thing good or bad? Thanks Z
  6. Hi All, I have a '05 625 sxc and I'm looking to upgrade my standard muffler for a performance muffler. Is any one particular brand that is any better than the other? I would also like something which will produce a nice exhaust note but not too loud. I'm also looking to upgrade the air filter to a better performing one than the standard. Any suggestions? Thankz
  7. Hi I have fitted a set of "17 supermoto wheels to my KTM 625 SXC and was wondering what gear ratios to run for highway riding of speeds around 110-115Km/h. I'm currently running a 16 front and 44 rear. I was thinking of running a 40 on the rear. How much difference will this make? cheers Z
  8. Thanks for the tip, I will try it tonight. I will have to let a few other people know it is possilbe (the service guys at my local KTM shop). Cheers Z
  9. Hi I have a '05 KTM 625 SXC and just fitted a set of "17 super motard wheels. My problem is the speedo is calibrated for the "21 wheel and now the speedo is reading incorrectly. Is it possible to re-calibrate the speedo? I have noticed the speedo display flashes up '2205' when it is first activated which i assume is the circumference of the "21 wheel. Does anyone if this is able to be adjusted to suit the "17 wheel? Thanks Z

  13. Hi Just got a '05 625SXC and was wondering if the digital speedo is supposed to have a back light? I rode the bike the other night and had no light on the speedo display and it made it hard to see the speed i was doing. Is there a lamp which may need to be changed? thanks Z
  14. Hi Thanks for the tips I will check them out and hopefully all is OK. Cheers Z
  15. Hi All, I'm looking to buy a '05 KTM 625 SXC (5500km) and I took it for a ride today and the bike went well but twice on a 10 min test ride the bike stalled on me when I was slowing down and down shifting through the gears into first. It made a funny noise like a starter motor engageing when it stalled. Then I put it into neutral to restart the bike and had trouble selecting first gear (which I know some times happens), I pulled the the clutch lever a few times and rolled the bike forwards a little and it selected first OK. I tried first gear a few times before taking off again and a similar result each time with the first gear not engageing straight away. It didn't happen everytime but when buying a second hand bike I have a few concerns. Has this happened to any other 625 owners out there? The bike generally seems OK but I'm concerned about the stalling and noise. Thanks Z
