  1. That's bsp _ 43143 @ yahoo . com. The underscore isn't apparent.
  2. I need a replacement CDI unit for my son's 1997 XR 50. I was hoping someone would like to recoup a few dollars that they spent on their over-rev box by selling me the functional stock module that they took off. I'm at bsp_43143@yahoo.com. Thanks
  3. I am hoping a kind soul can lead me in the correct direction. My son has a 1997 XR70 that has no spark. I have disconnected the key switch and kill switch and made no difference. I pulled the left side cover and flywheel and everything appears in order. I have checked resistance on all the wires from the coil to ignition module, ignition module to stator and all circuits are under 0.2 ohm. I disconnected the coil and with a DVOM between the primary circuits, get voltage signal when kicking the engine. The voltage rises when kicking and falls as the engine slows. Neither the primary or secondary circuits show an open circuit. Is there a verifiable test for the coil or do I need to throw a coil at it and see if it has an effect? I have an XR80 that his sister rides that is exhibiting a similar condition, so any advice is greatly appreciated. TIA, Brad
