  1. Here's the eBay model. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&_trkparms=tab%3DWatching&viewitem=&item=190203132479&_trksid=p3907.m32
  2. Never mind, just completed the "read this first -Kicker (S)" section and read that the S/SM's have auto decomp... Must Kick "S".
  3. So, I take it your Kicked S's aren't missing the unusable compression releases?
  4. I tried buying Speedzilla's integrated Turn Signal Mirrors on line last Dec., but after my order was confirmed by email, I haven't heard a word and they don't reply to my repeated inquiries?? Anybody know what's up there? i searched the Forum and he hasn't posted since 2006?!
  5. Has any body heard of AMR Racing or tried their replacement hot coils sold by “Gear-Junkies” on eBay. The coil is listed as an "AMR MONSTER COIL SUZUKI DRZ400 DRZ 400 CDI REV 5H" and "Item number: 140041932336"? I can't find any info on AMR products on-line, other than references back to eBay. That usually smells like trouble(?).
  6. Aspencop129 -I just got the stainless spacers, 2 wheel and 1 sprocket from Pub Land and just wondered how this stuff was going over(?) How many approximate miles do you have on the stainless and why did you replace the originals (besides his pics of scored aluminum)?

  8. Has anybody fitted up any of this crafty Brit’s machined bits from eBay? Just curious and not at all affiliated -- Non-Sponcered Link His Aluminum Foot-Peg Eliminator is not recessed for retension of stock rubber shock bushing like TNRDesigns Eliminator is, but his replacement Stainless Output Shaft Spacer and Seal, and front and rear Wheel Spacers are the first I’ve seen. Also available are an Aluminum and Aluminum Nickel Bronze Bushing Speedo Drive Eliminator used with stock seal, and manual Cam Chain Tensioner replacement for early notorious OEM automatics.
  9. What's the DRZ consensous of the BIG GUN REV BOX when used with at least the other standard re-jetting and bolt-on respiration inhansments? I've only seen it mention once in passing after a ful- tilt big-bore up-grade.
  10. Anybody know how much of the Z250 the 200SE shares that the 200SE would benefit from –directly swapping or as after market designed for the Z250 that might fit the 200SE? Think dialed Z250 in street-legal 200SE clothing.

  12. It’s true, if you get a DMV paper pusher that just sticks to their desk, the numbers, and the paper, there are plenty of empty boxes to the left of my DR’s fresh first 250 listed miles for an 8 to fit nicely. Thanks for the imported experience ZORN. An improved Title, and a rented well aged trip computer closes the deal -thank you all!
  13. I’ll take you up on the DR-Z400S speed-o rental, thank you for your generous offer! That just leaves the little DR200SE outlaw. I intend to pass the bikes off as well spanked web/press project bikes. The dealers I spoke with confirmed the DMV Vin dilemma as well as the DMV web site and AAA, who was kind enough not to run the bikes through the system. They all strongly discouraged entering any 49 state vin # into the Matrix, irreconcilably marking the bikes as “illegal for street use in CA” with a do not pass go card out of the state. The dealers were also unsympathetic about my buying bikes from out of state because they’re simply out of stock. The emission equipment differences for CA bikes, evidenced by their vin #’s, unfairly inflates their local demand and value and DMV currently does not make provisions for non- CA Dual Sports to be legally upgraded. Collusion may not be technically correct, but it’s the first word that comes to mind.
  14. I actually talked to a service manager that had attempted just that Black & Decker remedy only to find that the whining progress was pitifully protracted and would only be feasible with the mechanical DR200SE speed-o anyway. Parking a speed-o on a lathe for a week may be a more controlled solution. I’m going with the used +7,500ml speed-o’s -though suing the Republic of California DMV to accept or recognize “upgraded or legalized” 49 state bikes strikes my sense of fair play. You don’t even need to be on your bike to ridden off the road by the SUV phone booth’s in CA. Hypocrisy doesn’t quite cover it, but it’s the first word that comes to mind.
  15. The problem is that if a 49 state bike’s Vin number is processed at DMV it will be bounced as Non-CA and will be permanently banned from registering it anywhere in CA and the vehicle must be removed from CA!
