    2012 350 XC-F or 300 XC

I do like this, i ride to have fun too, it will be raced a bit in hare scrambles etc, but not the biggest part of my riding, mailing trails ( the odd 100+ mile a day) Are these less tiring to ride than a 450 MX bike, i guessing they are a bit? Appreciate everyones input too, Thanks a lot!

    2012 350 XC-F or 300 XC

I was initially keen on a 300 but the dealer is trying to talk me into a 350 reckons they are the best machine around?? I raced 250 2 strokes back in the day, but am getting older and slower and the YZ450 get a bit much/heavy around the trails, dont race MX anymore. My only concern is the 350 is a bit gutless, the thing I love about the 450 is that instant grunt, especially when you poke it at a big hill......

    2012 350 XC-F or 300 XC

Thanks for the replys, did ask the same question on the 4 stroke forum as well:smirk: Am tending towards a 350 XC which i think is different here to your guys model, same frame as the SX with linkage, 6 speed and no lighting etc, we also have the exc version with lights and road kit. Am getting a bit old for the 450, great bike but hard work all day! Thanks for the help. Cheers
  4. Hi all, Am finally gonna move from the Blue tent to the orange! Am very keen on a 350 XC-F or a 300 XC (2stroke) Anyone ridden both? I know about the maintance etc, just cant decide!!! Any help or ride reviews would be great. Cheers

    Us Wr450 V Nz Wr450??

I am looking at moving the YZ450 on and getting a WR, I have read all the articles about the Mods etc. Are the WR's sold in the US different to the ones sold in New Zealand/Australia with regard to the emission side of things, and are the Mods still needed to get the WR to perform to its full potential? Any help would be appreciated!
  7. Thanks for your answers, would be keen on the bar pad, tend to eat big time when i do!!!!!
  8. Im just about to put a scotts on my 06 YZ450. Is one better than the other? On the fender or top mount?, cant really do a SUB mount as im a short arse and cant raise the bars! Thanks

    Is this chain too loose?

I think sitting on the bike is now the old way with these flash new machines they seamed to have changed the way you do everything! Remember the days when how fast you were had a direct relationship to how big your B@lls were, not your wallet. But the sitting on the bike method has worked for me for the last 15years as well, ( I still do that check too).

    Ready Oil Filter - Question

Thanks, the Ready filters seam fine, have only be using it for about 25hrs but seams ok. The stock cover doesn't fit so they supply there own one, A bit of advertising for them as well I guess.
  12. Hi, stupid question, But. Which way does the filter go in? One end has a small ball bearing in it and the other the hole with the rubber seal, for the life of me cant remember which way. Cheers Ps you are welcome to laugh

    Looking to buy 07 YZF450

The clutch on my 06 is one of the easiest i have ever used! They are like night and day compared to my 04. If you think the RMZ turns well, you will be so happy with the YZ450F you will just want to go round in circles all day long

    YZ450f Range

Hi, any idea what the top speed is of a standard geared 06 compared to droping the rear a couple of teeth?

    Is this a factory exaust

Hi, It looks like a US spec pipe on the back, a mate imported one and had the same style. NZ new seam to have a different pipe tip. Think its to do with the noise restrictions in the states.
