  1. thanks
  2. so i was just thinking about taking my WR 426 out for a ride around the house...But i have about 3-3.5 feet of snow on the ground right now. So i was wondering what you guys thought about studding the tires? or do you even think the bike will make it through that much snow? i have decent tires on it right now, and i'm wondering if i stud the tires with sheet metal screws if it will shorten the life of the tire in the summer after i remove the screws? any suggestions would be great!

  4. I just rode a friends new klx 250 today...i normally ride a wr 426....personally i thought the klx was underpowered for a 250, but it fits my friend good because he is much smaller and a newer rider. anyway he's looking for some low cost modifications that will give the bike more power? what would you guys recommend?
  5. i dont know about the DRZ, but on my wr i just gutted the pipe and its about 114 db at 20 feet it sounds good on the street, but it still sounds like a bicycle when i cruz past a Harley!!
  6. how fast do you have to go to actually skip the puddle?
  7. Nice bike!!
  8. i have an 01 wr 426 but i've ridden a few wr 450s i have found that the 450s dont have the same snappy power the 426 has...personally i like the aggressive snap, although i've heard Yamaha has been taming the 450 because people dont like the snappiness....from what i've experienced i would say this is true, and i would not want to down grade to a 450 from a 426!
  9. awesome!! make some more! its hard to find widescreen wallpapers...
  10. when you guys shift with the wheel up do you clutch or just pop it into gear? last time i was practicing clutching i went over backward between 3rd and 4th...not a good overall experience..
  11. that would be sweet!
  12. when trying to wheelie you need to make sure to "load" the front suspension by letting off the throttle before quickly opening it again...
  13. there to busy kicking ass with their new snowmobiles to worry about dirt bikes! lol
  14. i own and love yamaha 4 strokes... both dirt bikes and snowmobiles!
