  1. I have a 2005 250sxf.... what i usally do is when its cold, i leave the choke off. I never use the choke, i pull in the hot start and kick it it a few times and most of the time it will start... but when it doesnt, i let out the hot start and kick it and it starts to. When its hot i have no problem starting it either. i just bring to the top of the compression and kick down and it always starts. i do the same thing i when i start it cold. the hot start works as a choke. it opens a chamber or bore and lets air come threw just like the choke does. Hope it helps. Vince Cianci #714
