  3. whats up everybody. i got one for ya. im replacing my timing chain on my 03' yz450f bacause it was making alota noise. well my buddy is replacing his also on his 03' quadsport z400. he is going with a DID silent chain ($79.99) and i am going with a stock yamaha chain ($14.99). should i go with the silent???
  4. its no different than the 450 yamaha quad or the 450r honda. it just has alittle more kick.
  5. yeah i was thinking a 13t up front. how about the rear, maybe a 43 or 45. who here has recluse clutches? what are they like peace
  6. yeah im gonna get the heavier of the two flywheels that gyt-r offers. as for the gearing and gearing it higher. right now ima 14/38. what do you all think i should go to. im tryin to avoid buyin 10 sprockets to get the right combo. thanks for the help. the quad forum has been no help on this one
  7. so if i was to go with maybe a 13/43 do you think that would keep my front wheels from lifting and allow me to shift more on the tight trials thanks in advance! nick

    Z400 Timing Chain Noise Stock

buy a manual aftermarket tensioner and that will work for a while but you have to eventually change the chain.
  9. thanks a bunch for all your help garyracer513. i prolly should have mentioned before that i have an 03' yz450f motor in an 89' honda 250r frame w/ all other componets being honda. its got everything i want on it and im just tring to get the motor perfect too. right now i have a full system curtis sparks exhaust from the 450 quad on it w/ a K&N air filter. the filter has a outerwears cover and the air box lid has 6 1/2 holes drilled in it for the only ventilation. the jetting is stock right now. ill prolly go with the 7.5 gyt-r flywheel. 1. should i change jetting? 2. should i change sprockets? right now i have a 14/38 set up and my front end likes to lift. i want to shift more on tight trails also and get out of first. any ideas? thanks in advance as always. you guys rock and keep my rollin. nick
