  1. I am looking for a cheap solution to fit my SM with a FCR carb. Which carbs should I be looking for, say on ebay? From what I have gathered I can fit a WR, YZ, and maybe a CRF FCR on my DRZ. I have searched the forums and haven't really found a definitive thread on this. If there is one please point me to it. If not any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.
  2. Thanks for that bit of info, I was wondering that myself. Now I know
  3. I don't have the rims in front of me, I'm 2000 miles from home. They're Yamaha rims so I can't really compare part numbers. I do remember looking at Excel's part numbers and I'm pretty sure they're the same for the YZ and the DR. The only thing is I bought these rims as a set and as you may know the YZ has a 19" rear. I'm currently looking for an 18" rear but I'm hoping I can use the 21" front with my E hubs with stock E spokes. I'm wanting the 18" rear for better tire selection and I was hoping that as long as I bought a 36 hole 18" rim for Suzuki/Yamaha/Kawasaki that I could just buy the stock E rear spokes too and they would fit. Now I'm not so sure. I'm learning here. I've never laced a set of wheels before. I may waste some money in this deal but at least I'm learning something. I did search long and hard on this site and didn't find anything as far as rim/spoke fitment so maybe....just maybe...when this is all done I'll be able to contribute some knowledge. Dave
  4. I was wondering if there was going to be a problem with the E spokes fitting the YZ rims. Any idea? I know nothing about the hole sizes, before now I thought the rim hole size was pretty much standard.
  5. So if I have E model hubs and a set of excel rims for a YZ250 what spokes would I need to buy? What should I be looking for?
  6. That wouldn't require different rims/spokes would it?
  7. I just noticed that the spoke sets and rims for the E and S have different OEM part numbers. What is the difference between models?
  8. That's what I was wondering. I'd hate to have a leak that just somehow fixed itself.
  9. Where was it leaking from? I'm confused.
  10. Easy enough, thanks
  11. I've read that over and over but how am I to know the difference between the "old style" and the new style?
  12. Nah, it's not patracy's bike. I think Drew is keeping his. Welcome to the OTHER dark side Corey
  13. I had that carb in my watch list...almost bid on it but I wasn't sure about the fitment either. It's all so confusing to me with the seemingly endless FCR39 styles
  14. Okay, on another note does anyone know where I can purchase the Suzuki service manual for my SM?
  15. I personally think the manuals should be free. Come on...you bought the bike, give the manual. I haven't even been successful in finding the SM manual anywhere for purchase. I HAVE to have my factory manual!! Thanks for the link Dan
