Bill to close part of Moon Rocks in the works

response i get from heck... Dear Mr. , Thank you for contacting me in opposition to H.R. 2733, the Nevada Native Nations Land Act. While I understand your concerns, this bill does not affect off-highway vehicle (OHV) use at Moon Rocks in the Hungry Valley Recreation Area. As an avid outdoorsman, I share your support for protecting access to recreation on federal lands. However, the federal government is often the biggest roadblock to promoting responsible use and access of these lands. That is why I am a cosponsor of H.R. 1484, the Honor the Nevada Enabling Act of 1864 Act. This bill requires the federal government to begin conveying federal lands to the state of Nevada to be used for the benefit of Nevadans. This policy is much more appropriate for our state and would improve recreational access and opportunity for Nevadans. In accordance with this policy, I believe Nevada’s native tribes should be involved in decisions that affect their land. These tribes were present long before the federal government took over more than 80 percent of Nevada’s land, and should be able to determine their own future and preserve their cultural heritage and traditions. H.R. 2733, the Nevada Native Nations Land Act, transfers land to be held into trust for many of Nevada’s tribes, including the Fort McDermitt Paiute and Shoshone Tribe of the Fort McDermitt Indian Reservation, the Shoshone-Paiute Tribes of the Duck Valley Indian Reservation, the Summit Lake Paiute Tribe, the Reno-Sparks Indian Colony, the Pyramid Lake Paiute Tribe, and the Duckwater Shoshone Tribe. I believe this is in the best interest of Nevada’s tribes and our state and again, this bill does not affect off-highway vehicle (OHV) use at Moon Rocks in the Hungry Valley Recreation Area. Additionally, please be assured that I will continue working to open additional land to OHV use. Again, I appreciate your thoughts and it is an honor to serve you in Congress. Your suggestions are always welcome, and if ever I may be of assistance, please do not hesitate to contact me.

signed the BLM can kiss my a**. never been there but not a fan of their tactics.
  4. take a few sight laps and get used to the soil. find a table top or something forgiving and learn to jump, suspension setup (unless done ENTIRELY wrong) wont cause you to endo as much as you not knowing how to jump and imporper body position/throttle control. i was 280 lbs on stock yz 125 suspension and i was able to jump with out issues (as long as i landed on the downside lol) stay in your lane, faster riders will go around you, just don't turn an MX track to a tarmac race track and go out in out in corners, if you hit an outside line stay outside in the turn, inside line stay inside.
  5. the RCH semi is often parked down the street on a dimly lit alley with no houses around.... maybe they have tires in there! JK i would break into a rig, steal or anything like that.
  6. I kind of want to replace all my bent levers and make a cool clutch lever coat hangar. I think it would be awesome lol. Wasnt me but im part of a search and rescue team and we got a call that a man on a dirtbike found a skull and femur. we needed to find the rest of him.
  7. with my group of buddies we roost the crap out of each other if we do something stupid like stall in a corner or lay it over in a slow turn. well when i lived in socal we did. We also knew it was just dirt and didn't do it to new people in the group. here in NV i would be too worried about pelting you with a boulder. If we roosted you you know your one of the boys lol. Also pulling the old spark plug cap on the 2 stroke gag hahaa. watching people kick for days is hilarious.

Taking chain off a few times?

let us know how it goes. if removing the axle doesnt net you enough to remove the chain you may have your chain too tight.

    Checks before heading out?

what i REALLY need to start doing, check spokes once a week or month depending on how often you ride. I ride gnarly rocks fairly quick and so i have a toruqe wrench and need to use it more, i know they are loose right now so thanks for reminding me.
  11. Call some shops around you. It usually costs more (40 here) for a tubliss due to it having to be done by hand and not on the machine
  12. I try to use the tt store since I'm in vegas although I keep forgetting lol. Otherwise motosport has been good for me. When I ordered 2 shoei helmets tech 10s tld pants shirt and gloves and ups misdelivered I called them first to reach out to ups and I did the same. Lots of calls between us 3 and in the end the guy showed up 3 hours later with my gear.

    Running out of gas stories

last week, went out and was messing around. had just repacked my exhaust and was excited to ride. forgot to fill up the tank. luckily i had the reserve. for those who are not aware some bikes have a reserve tank. turn off your fuel and lay the bike on the ground to the same side that has the petcock. Yamahas at least part of the tank hangs over the right side of the frame so when you lean it over that fuel dumps into the left side where the petcock is. usually enough to get you a few miles lol. was enough to get me home haha. The other time was on my brother bike, his KX had less fuel then my YZ and i had mileage dwn to a T on the YZ........ well about 5 miles from home i thought i blew it up. check for compression check, shake shake shake and no slosh. SHOOT..... luckily i was riding with a buddy on a quad and he had his phone. called my parents to bring my gas can lol.

    Front tire with tubliss

i had to ditch my front tubliss. i went through 4 tires in month from going flat due to the rocks. small holes. rear is fine though. Not sure WTH happened probablyj ust bad luck.
  15. riding down to the end of the block and back in second gear less then 5mph is as fast as i roll wtih no helmet. even if im testing something small ill go no boots or gear just a helmet. broken bones heal for the most part, your head.. not so much and id rather not live with the thought of my parents having to take care of someone permanently bceause i was an idiot without a helmet.
