  1. Hello to Husky riders, I need some expert advice on what to do with my bike. While at the NE Classic Charity Ride this weekend I wiped out and hit the right side of the bike hard on some rocks. At first I thought it was ok but I was wrong. After getting back on and riding about 1 mile the engine squeeled and siezed. I looked it over closley and realized the skid plate (uptite full aluminum) cracked and actually pushed into the oil filter cover. This pushed the cover over slightly bending the bolts and craking the oil filter case ear tabs where the bolts go in. The oil was essentially pumped out the gap and caused the meltdown. I know it has to be torn down but what should I expect? Would it be better to replace the engine entirely? How much does one cost vs. a full rebulid from the cases up? Any suggestions with where to send the engine or where to buy stuff would be very very appreciated. PS Bike is in good shape with about 1k on it. Thank you, C. Bosch
  2. OK Guys, I need real world information. I have a 02 DRz with all the mods. I am getting a new bike because i want to ride on my motocross track and also do dual sport events. I have a choice to buy a new 06 Husqvarna TE 450 which is 50 state road legal and has all the good parts on it. i have heard some good stuff. The other option is the KTM 450EXC with the dual sport kit. I know it can be plated relatively easily. What's what and why? i think alot of other people are in the same boat and friends of mine also want to know. Lastly i heard that KTM is making their EXC road legal in August for the 07 line up! Any info? Thanks, Chris

  4. Help,I blew off the radiator shroud graphic/decals during a brain fart pressure washing. I can spend $190 to get actual Suzuki OEM decals or get new aftermarket. The only problem is how do I not destroy my fuel tank since it seems to be clearcoated over? Any great Tips? I think those Thumpertalk graphics rock! P.S. Mine is Blue Thanks, Chris Bosch
