  1. undefined Hello, I have had motorcycles for 35+ years and am looking for another toy. I am 6' 210 lbs. Big boy, little bike I know.... I came across a 2004 or 2005 CRF50 yesterday that has some mods on it and I don't know if it is a good deal or not. It comes with all of the stock parts also. It is in perfect shape. The mods that I know of are: BBR big bar handlebar kit with the gold anodized triple tree cover. BBR exhaust pipe. Some type of aftermarket CDI unit. A "sticky" type of seat cover. Shocks to hold a 200lb plus adult. Different rear sprocket and perhaps a big bore kit. (I'm not sure about the big bore kit, he said it had a different cam in it. A consignment shop has it for sale) It has a gold chain on it and a gold skid plate. It also has an aftermarket open element air cleaner and some type of open element oil breather. They are asking $950 but I think I can get them down to $900. Is this a good deal? I know that my local Honda shop has a brand new one for $999. But I have heard that mods are expensive. What do you think? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am going to look at it tomorrow. Also they have a CR80R for $1,000 that has a bent handlebar. Would that be more fun? I know it is apples and oranges. Thanks Cobrajet
