    My Mod Bike

obviously he doesn't ride the bike, he just likes to spend absorbant amounts of money so it will look good and sound ok. to each his own, but since you asked for opinions i think it is a complete waste of money. nothing personal. but it is obvious that you have the extra cash to buy all those things which is fine and dandy, but since i do not, i choose to spend my money on matenience and upkeep. cheers.

let me see your frame guards

agreed, but some offer grip tape characteristics. Although the same grip can be aquired for far less money.

will these crf 450 parts fit my crf250?

the stainless oil filter will, honda has kept their oil filters pretty much the same since 02

    ****calling all crf guru's***

the reason ricky had a problem with his fuel boiling is because the unleaded race gas they use has a boiling point of like 100 degrees. I have taken apart carbs on 4 06 honda crf 250's and every one of them had the float height set wrong. once i fixed that and rejet, it seemed to be much better.

Anyone else get their "Concern Letter" from Honda

i have a theory on why it is always the right intake that seems to tighten up first. it sounds simple but it makes sense. The right intake valve is nearest to the exhaust header. The exhaust generates enormous amounts of heat. The head transmits to the head being as close as it is and the right intake valve recieves far more heat than the left intake valve, causing it to wear faster and sooner. I could be completely wrong, but it seems like it would make sense to me.

how to make bike "feel new" again

for me, a smooth operating kick starter makes or breaks a bike. Make sure that you take that one #3 phillips head bolt out and grease inside the kickstarter pivot point plenty. If not, the kick starter will become played out and feel very shitty.

    CRF250R "clank" sound... help!??

yes it is normal, if you want to see how loud it really is, take the spark plug out and see how much louder it echo's without it in.

    Triple Clamps for 2005 CRF250R

Because the honda triple clamps are rubber mounted, there is not really a need to change them over, unless you have the cash burning a hole in your pocket. HOWEVER the clamps that offer two rubber mounting spots per post are superior to the honda clamps because in the event of a tip over or spill, the mounts will not " spin" and throw the bars out of wack. I have a set of 20mm offsets of my 06250f that have two mounting spots per bar mount, so it helps dampen the vibrations while also insuring that the bars do not spin in the event of a spill or tip over. I highly recommend Tri-Star Clamps, they are out of massachusetts but will ship anywhere. They seem to be the best that i have ever incountered and will customize the color, and even engrave the clamp for you. Both Ian and Gavin Trettel, Chuck Carothers ( the body varial) Martin Davalos and John Dowd run their clamps. www.tristarracing.com their prices seem very reasonable also

    To leave or take?

Even though it may seem that it is a help, in actuality it is nothing but a mud collector. It offers no structural protection whatsoever and it only gathers mud and dirt. Take it off.
