  1. Windham bars worked well.... Will order a step seat this week! Thanks guys
  2. yea, I loosed up the rubber mounts, and tried to get them squared up but still off... it's weird, im guessing just off from the factory. All the more reason to get Pro Taper's upper triple
  3. Guys, just put some aftermarket pro-tapers on and realized my bars are crooked. Triples & bar mount stock, bike has never been in a hard impact ever. Was a supermoto bike that saw limited time. I've loosened up the bar mounts, but things don't seem to want to straighten out, what's the deal? Surely they don't come f'd from the factory:bonk:
  4. Any new mx games coming out for xbox 360? I just popped mx vs. atv and got a reality check on the lame factor. I'm really surprised a supercross game hasn't come out, anything in the pipeline?
  5. Found a great deal on an AXO chute helmet, but not sure how they fit compared to Fox v2, or Thor Carbon Force.... Anyone chime in, quality, true to size w/other brands ect. My current helmet is a thor carbon force size medium, but the fit is a little funky around my ears, and the last couple times I've worn it I've gotten horrible headaches, so time to find a new lid:thumbsup:
  6. Help me out fellas.. I'm 6'3" w/long arms and went riding yesterday for the first time this year after breaking collar bone and shoulder blade on my roadrace bike and felt fairly cramped. Bike is a 2006 RMZ450, all stock. My biggest problem were my hands, they were throbbing and getting very stiff-sore after just a few laps, and I'm wondering if it has anything to do w/the ergo's of the bike. I'm a tad bigger than the average mx rider, so looking for ideas here. What have you taller guys done to make the bike more comfortable to you? Bars, triple clamp, seat....ect:thumbsup:

  8. Yep i am the first owner... and am frusterated, the bike has really been putted around on since bought, never raced or shifted hard, i've done great maintence on it.. I think i am going to pull the cover and see whats up, unfortunate this bike w/such little time is already giving me problems
  9. I've searched and didnt come up with what im looking for... Here's my problem, i have an 06 rmz450 ridden less that 15 hours total and having issues with the clutch-tranny. Problem one, the bike wont roll while in gear w/the clutch engaged; Problem two, when running & moving i'll kick it into nuetral and the bike will only roll a few feet and then kick itself into gear, its doing the same when trying to start it... i put it in nuetral and go to kick and it engages itself back into gear. Problem three; shifting is RUFF.. almost seems like i dont have oil in the bike. I've been running Castrol Suberbike 5w synthetic and now switching over to rotella to see if the rough shifting is helped at all. The bike hasnt been back into the stealership for a "service" and i cant find my damn manual, so im asking you guys to help.. how should i adjust the clutch to fix any of these problem? thanks:worthy:
  10. my check bolt was about gone in my rmz450, so i just put red (permanenet) loctite on it, put it back in snug and been golden ever since.. most of the suzuki guys have this same problem and dont even bother with the check screw
  11. good deal, its an 06 rmz450.. think it has the same showa stuff that the crf's have...anyone have any idea how much oil they hold.. i'll replace the seal this weeek, just dont have time before tomorrow morning
  12. read horrible reviews about it on race-dezert & dezertranger.com, nobody had anything good to say.. really a bummer
  13. Might sound like a dumbass question, but going riding spur of the moment tomorrow morning.. actualy going to let a buddy who's 100% new to trails/mx ride my rmz, however one of the forks had developed a really slow leak and has been ridden twice since. I cleaned the fork seal w/camera film and it still leaked for another week or so, but since has stopped leaking (im talking leaked out a silver dollar size spot in my garage in a month)... but i am concerned its either out of oil, or very low since the leak has stopped.. so my question is could i add some fork oil in top of the fork-bleeder screw? Or would i need to pull the entire cap off to add some oil.. Or since a minimal amount has leaked out is it safe to ride on (keep in mind, super begineer on trails) w/o damaging the fork internals... thanks for any input Also.. how much oil is in the fork to begin with?? thanks:worthy:
  14. what ^^^^^^ said
  15. def. take it back and show em, thats no good!!
