  1. I have a 2000 DRZe with CA plate and Yosh pipe and it's been an incredible machine. I use it for Baja, Sierras singletrack, and longer adventure rides and it's proven it's versatility in a big way. Sure there are faster bikes, but I've had my E for almost 3 years and put about 9000 miles on it with only a recent valve job. I don't think there's a more affordable bike to own and maintain, and the bike rips in most every condition. I've ridden my friends' 525/530's, 450x's, and WR's and they're all incredible bikes, but I love my E for being a Swiss Army knife of bikes. I rode my friend's stock S and it's not even in the same ballpark, but great for the intended use. My one and only complaint about the E is it's about 20 lbs heavier than my friends '08 530. Saying that, I'll ride my E till he can outrun me on his KTM. Then I might need to blow $10k :-)
  2. I'm in Orange with a plated DRZ400E. Not much open in the Santa Anas right now. Everything is closed from the top of Holy Jim all the way to Beek's Place. No access up Maple Springs, either. All I can think of for a local ride is up Ortega to Main Divide, down Indian Truck and up Cariso. Some friends have been riding up Skyline from Corona, but I'd rather not ride all the way to Corona. Any suggestions?
