  1. Consider yourself a test pilot, not many people have them yet or expermented with them. A pipe should be available in about a month or so. As far as a powerup kit or jet kit try and contact your honda dealer. Or maybe someone on here can guide you in the right direction. Congrats on the new bike.
  2. 9 out of 10 dealers around my area in Pennsylvania won't budge on msrp price. Only 1 will give good deals, and actually they are very good (Montgomeryville Cycle). I don't understand why most local Honda dealers are so tight on prices. They could get so much more business if they would only work with the customer, I don't get it??? I'm in the market for a new CRF230 and the most they will budge is $100. I understand they have to make a profit, but I don't want to be raked over the coals either. So I am still searching for a good deal???......
  3. I'd like a 250X but the seat height is too high for me. I'm short in the inseam and most bikes are out of reach for me. I lowered the KX250 with a koubalink that brought it down about 1 1/2" and it's still a too high for comfort but I can ride it well and I feel comfortable on it. I'm just at a point in my life that I don't need all that power and an electric start is very important to me. If I get a CRF230 and use the koubalink to lower it, it will be perfect as it drops it 2" and I will be only using it for trails and fun. The TW200 has a very low seat height to begin with and is excellent on trails, the only thing that bothers me about it is there are no mods or exhaust to increase the power that I know of. I like to tinker with things and make them faster, where as the CRF230 there are many mods and lots of fun things to do to it. Decisions...Decisions.
  4. Im 46 and just getting back into it. I rode on dirt for years as a kid until I turned 18 then turned to street bikes and never looked back. Recently I've noticed how dangerous it's getting on the street and i'm giving it up for good. So I went out and bought a 03 KX250, way.........way......to much bike for me so I had a smaller jet put in it and set it up for trail riding. It's a very nice bike and it runs and handles great now. But i need something smaller and better for trails and an electric start. So it's either a CRF230 or a TW200, i'm undecided and still researching both bikes. The KX250 will go to my 18 year old son, he really likes it and he can handle the power. If anyone has any opinions on either the CRF230 or TW200 please don't hold back, I'd like to hear them.
  5. So when re jetting the 06 carb a new needle will be needed as opposed to using the 05 needle in the 4th clip position and replacing the stock jets. I guess a good thing is that the current aftermarket exhausts will bolt right on. Thanks for the replies and info.
  6. Is there any changes between these model years? 05 and 06 CRF230, I'm under the assumption that they are identical and all aftermarket parts would be interchangeable. Anyone know for sure???
  7. After making numerous phone calls to 8 different dealers I have found only 2 TW200's. Both new and on the showroom floor for some time. A 2004 and a 2005 and I think they are both the same color Gray/Black and both dealers are asking $3,200 and I'm sure the price is negotiable as they want to get them out the door. Most dealers said they don't even carry the TW200 as they never sell and it seems only the smaller dealers way out in the sticks seem to have them and sell them. So im considering the 2005 as long as the price is right. If the dealer will eat the setup fee and 1/2 of the destination fee then I will pay the 3,200 and be happy and purchase the bike. Anyone have any tips on getting the best price that is both fair to the dealer and myself?
  8. So how did you work out the final price with Jetmoto? Do you have to haggle over price with them or is there a better price if you call and inquire? Hope the bike works out for you and you are happy with it. It sounds like a decent machine for general trail riding.
  9. Do any of you know any mods for the TW200? I am considering purchasing a new one in a month or so and I would like more information on them. Mine will be use mostly for dirt, trail riding.
  10. Thanks for the reply, it seems like a different approach to trail riding and every review I've read on this bike gave it very good marks. It's definitely different to say the least. The only bad thing I've heard is the stock chain and sprockets need to be replace first thing. I will probably never ride it on the street so it will see a good deal of trail time. Supposedly it's 16 hp stock and I think thats pretty good for a 200cc bike. Now if I could just locate a new one on a dealers inventory, it seems like they are hard to get.
  11. Does anyone have any experience on this model. It is the dual purpose bike with the fat tires. How off road capable is it for trail riding? It weighs 260 lbs and im afraid thats too much for tossing it around on the trails. I like the low seat height and the dual purpose ability of this machine. Just wondering if anyone ever rode one and what you thought.
  12. Here is another complete stock unit brand new, hope it helps you. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Stock-Muffler-and-Header-for-Honda-CRF230-CRF230F-2005_W0QQitemZ4583235814QQcategoryZ35591QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
