    NW Indiana dealers

I'm looking to get a 07 RMZ250 and was wondering if anyone has dealt with some dealers in NW Indiana. I've been quoted $5600+tax but I have a feeling I can do better. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!
  2. Thank very much for clarifying.
  3. This is a bit dis hearting. I was almost set on getting a 07 250f, but I don't feel like dropping 5-6k on something that has a issue. How prevalent is this? Thanks for the info.

    Bike worth

Try kbb.com, it's based on location and is a pretty good indicator.

Looking for unbiased opinion or facts

This Sunday I'm heading to the Yamaha/Suzuki dealer with my CR250R and trading it in on an '06 YZ250F. I was looking at the RM too, but I know the part's manager there and asked him flat out which one was built better, he said hands down the Yamaha. Since this is my first thumper I've ever owned, I wanted something I knew I wouldn't have any issues with. I hope that helps.

Cleaning off black residue on plastic

Thank you very much for the replies. I'll give the goofoff and the Mr. Clean a shot.
  7. I've looked through the forums, but I didn't find anything on this subject so please excuse me if it was covered already. I have a 98 KX60 I'm rebuilding for a friend of mine that was sitting for quite awhile. While it sat it formed this layer of black residue on the plastic that I can not get off. I can scratch it off with my finger nail, but other than that no dice. I've tried Simple Green and it didn't remove it, and I would hate to use any sort of abrasive cleaner since it would end up dulling the plastic. Has anyone run across this, and if so, how where you able to remove this. Thanks for the help! -DaddyMXer

    Just saying Hi

Just wanted to stop in say hi. I’ve been watching this forum for awhile and decided it was time to register. I just got back into riding a few years ago when I bought my 2002 CR250R. Since then I’ve realized that pain seems to last longer now at 33 more so than when I was in high school riding. So now you may ask why I am joining this forum with a 2 smoker. Well a few things actually. I’ve come to realize 2 strokes are going out, and I got the O.K. from the wife to get a new bike. Only stipulation from the wife was, I was told I had to race. Heh…. Ok! Additionally, from what I’ve read from some of these fantastic reviews some of you have posted, I’m looking quite seriously at the YZF250. Thanks HugeSwapper and others for your excellent writeups. Anyway, just wanted to introduce myself, and hopefully join in some great conversation on the best sport known to man. Oh, and if any of you could lend some help on some great race tracks in the Northwest IN. and Northeast IL. region, I’d greatly appreciate it. I’m a very novice rider, so please keep that in mind. Thanks!
