  1. I did the switch and wound up swapping back and here's why... Though I noticed a definite power increase and better throttle response with the FCR, I can go from 0 to 3500 feet above sea level in a single ride and those kind of altitude changes would play hell with the FCR, the BSR on the other hand seems to be almost unaffected by the altitude changes once I got it properly dialed in. If I lived in flatland country or raced then I'd have stuck with the FCR but for me the extra 4 hp isn't worth the spotty performance when changing altitude. FWIW, I got a lot more out of the pipe (Muzzy SS full system), re-jetting of the BSR, CDI box and airbox mod than I did out of the FCR.
  2. Hey people, I was referred here because I've decided to convert my 2005 SM to dirt/ice duty for the winter. My question is, what parts (besides wheels) will I need to do this and what wheels can I use? Thanks for any help.
