04' wr250f jetting help needed ASAP

Thank you for the help. Yamaduc34
  2. Thanks for the info. I'll look into disconnecting the grey wire and yes I am running stock jets. I'll try a larger pilot/main jet. What does the lower needle clip do? Thanks again, Yamaduc34
  3. No I didn't. I'm really new to this so, I'm not sure what a leak jet is? Yamaduc34
  4. I need some jetting help for my 04' Yamaha WR250F. I have done three mods from the original stock set-up. I did the airbox mod (made the opening larger), shortened the throttle stop screw (to get full throttle instead of 3/4) and purchased a Yamaha pipe insert. After these three mods, I have been having problems at the higher end of the power band. At higher speeds/gears, I hammer the throttle and it bogs out pretty much immediately. I don't seem to have this problem at lower speeds/gears. I believe I'm running too lean? I exclusively ride trails, no tracks. I realize I need to re-do my jetting, but don't know which jets to get/use and which combinations, etc. I was wondering if I could get some suggestions. Its getting a little cold here in Michigan, so I'm probably done ridin for the year, but would love to get the jetting squared away before I give'er a rest for the winter. Thanks. Yamaduc34
