Yamoto 200cc chinese bike from day-one

checked the flow of the gasoline - - the flow is constant and steady, check and swapped the plug, it had a slight red tint to it which i think is good, check the plug all the to the coil, clean connection.... sigh..... well i dunno what it is, why would it be when it gets warm?

okay more updates... it isnt a clogged tank breather, I ran the bike without the gas cap on, and it still had the same symtoms. I adjusted the carb fuel mixture screw all the way in, two turn out... pretty much ran worse... so i set it back..... im started to think its the vaporization of fuel and the cold freezing up the carb... so im gonna run it inside when it warms up... im just anxious to get off my bicycle and back on the bike ... oh and far as a clogged fuel filter... i uh dont think these have one...

well lets see.. sorry i havent responded in a bit - ive been riding my BICYCLE to work... i checked the plug... ironically its fine... a wee bit tan but fine?... I check the fuel line.. seems to be fine... it ran great for a bout a minute .. then all of the sudden ran like crap.. it started sputter in and out and died. I checked the choke again, no problems.. works fine, does what it should, no line problems. A notable occurance is that at idle.. when its idling fine... it just up and suddenly dies... not a sputter - just dead. im going to try messing with carb today now that i have a day off - thnx for the input. Wish Me Luck... oh and for the tank breather... uh believe it or not im not seeing one... the cap???
  4. hey, i have a a chinese bike - a gy200 and it was running fine, its has about 500 miles on it- now that it has been getting cold out i have had issues, in fact its become unridable. It runs fine when its cold but when it starts to warm up - it begins bogging, then it gets worse and worse as it warms up- then it pops... and hesitates so bad that i have to stop and let it sit for a bit... if i start it back up after sitting, it runs better for a bit but then goes back to running like crap and dies. I tried adjusting the fuel mixture with no positive change, so i set it back- but I know the fuel screw is only the idle throttle fuel mixture which isnt much of a problem--- ((((the jet needle is for half throttle (which i havent touched), and the main jet is open throttle (also not messed with). - im opting not to touch any of those since i feel that it is an issue at all throttle positions - none, half, and full throttle..))))) so i am thinking it could be - not getting air (which the intake is fine), or the fuel is bad (which i swapped out, and even heeted), and perhaps there is a fuel supply problem, such as the gravity feed isnt working...... BUT - that wouldnt explain the problem of why it runs bad when warmed up. The only thing i could think of is perhaps the floater is stuck in the fuel bowl, and perhaps.... after i let it sit, it slowly fills back up with fuel?????? ANY IDEAS ,,, help -- its my main sourch of transportation !!!!!

Here's a problem that I ran into - one day the bike started running like crap, misfiring, backfiring, hesitation - yada yada.... so I was thinking that the cold 27 degree weather was getting to it - and that perhaps the needle jet needed to moved out a bit... or that the main jet was just not large enough for the denser air. Anyhow - after much worrying... I came to the conclusion that it must be the gas.... the end of the story is that water can leak in through the cheap arse gas tank cap - the key hole.... so point being - problem fixed with new gas.. some additives... and electrical tape over the gas cap key hole -- how ghetto fabulous eh?

hey chaps, Ive had a gy 200 for a bit now --- so far I have had to replace the front fender - which is fine because the plastic wasnt very good on this bike - i tossed on a ktm fender instead which was softer plastic and better looking. The cheap front rim bent - also replaced it with a stock ktm. I ended up tossing the rear mud guard because it cracked, once again the plastic was cheap and hard, not soft like it should have been - which was once again fine because I hated that thing in the first place. It gave a good excuse to flush mount the lights. NOW, I let my friend borrow it for a couple of mins and he bent the front fork.... and thats turning out to be a hassle. I would like to replace it with an upside down fork - how are the gold stock ones that they offer????? if anybody has gotten that model? and I havent figured out if I can use a fork and triple clamp from another brand bike???? just curious if n e body knows??? Soon I am going to toss on a universal dg silencer - the stock one is crazy restrictive - I can hear the engine begging me for one.. and my friend also cracked the head light flare.... which is also fine because im plan on tossing on an acerbis head diamon light setup --- the lighting is better and heh... well he is paying for it. SOOOOOO n e body have any ideas on the fork?? ... i was thinking that just by chance i could also toss on an older xr swing arm because im seeing that the chinese metal isnt exactly the strongest ... its easy to bend... really easy... any clues as to compatability??? PS - i dont mistreat the bike - the core components are just fine - im just used to dirt bikes which designed a wee bit tougher..
