    crf250x to crf250r? need help

What does the pink wire mod do?
  2. The needle just falls out of mine. I measured my o ring. Looks like similar measurements to yours. Thanks for replying.
  3. Yeah 45 marzocchi. It's on a Husqvarna cr125.
  4. Recently my 01 cr125 decided to cover me in fork oil without me knowing. It was spurting out around the rebound adjustment screw while i was riding. I have pulled the forks down and removed the rebound needle as i guessed this was where the problem was (i thought the O ring would be split allowing oil up the damper rod). Turns out the O ring is intact but a loose fit in the damper rod. I also noticed there was no spring to push the rebound needle back down as in other open chamber forks. So three questions: 1: Would that O ring be what could be causing the oil to come out around the rebound adjuster? 2: What size is the O ring that goes on the rebound needle? 3: Should there be a spring pushing the rebound needle back down? Appreciate any help.
  5. We had a 2011. Spent two years trying to make it run off idle. Nothing helped. Sold it and bought a Husaberg te 250 and have never looked back.
  6. So will this also solve the oil transfer problem? I think my 09 is transferring oil from transmission to engine.

    The KTM 200 Club

Would a 175mj be too big? Do pipes make much difference?

    The KTM 200 Club

After two years of riding a 09 husky wr250 I've recently moved onto my girlfriends 08 KTM 200exc with only 750km on it. I am really liking the smaller size of the bike but the engine is really lacking compared the the husky. It pulls well for a 200 down low and has a pretty good top end, it's just the mid feels kinda hollow. The bike is completely stock and the jetting is: Needle r1370dka 3rd clip. 42p 168mj as 1.5 turns out. I'm guess i'm looking a fatten the mid up and make it run a little angrier. Any advice would be great.

07 Crf450r base valve stack mod

Sprint races are a timed loop through the bush (woods) approximately 10min long. Rode the bike today. Definitely an improvement. But still not where i would have liked it. I like the look of your above stack. I'm away this week so no time to ride or wrench unfortunately. The forks were still pretty harsh, should i have a go at the mid valve next time as well?

Don't expect that at all. No one is obliged to help at all. By not getting much love i meant not much interest. I know it takes time and effort to reply to posts. I appreciate any help shared on any forum. I think you are getting Australia mixed up with New Zealand they are the ones who rely on sheep for love and affection...

07 Crf450r base valve stack mod

    I usually just ride MX, with the odd sprint race through the bush. I usually finish about mid pack in our combined A, B, C grade MX races. Weigh 75kg. I didn't think it mattered whether they were above or below the plate. I ended up going with. Should be ok? 30 x 10 (16) 29 X 10 28 x 10 28 x 10 27 x 10 26 x 10 25 x 10 24 x 10 22 x 10 21 x 10 19 x 10 18 x 10 16 x 10 20 x 10 Washer 30 x 2 23 x 10 16 x 20 11 x 20 12 x 10 13 x 10 14 x 10 15 x 10 16 x 10 (8)

    DIY 04 450 Suspension Re-Valve!

I got scared off worried the proposed stack would be too soft. I have now changed it to below. The guy that came up with the original new stack has been playing around with suspension for years so i'm not sure if i should have gone against his advice and made up my own. Here's what i've come up with. I would really value some feedback on the below stack as this is my first time shuffling shims. All shims are 0.10 except for the 0.20's. Piston. 30 (12) 21 29 28 27 26 25 24 23 22 20 19 18 16 30 x 2.0mm plate 30x0.10 (4) 28 16x0.20 16 16 11x0.20 12 13 14 15 16 16 16 16 16 16

Great thread. I posted this on the suspension forum but didn't get much love, so i'll try here. I'm getting a little desperate and confused as it's my first time playing with shim stacks. Here's the link to the suspension thread. http://www.thumpertalk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=911176 Hi, My 2007 crf450r is a little harsh for me. I've been given some advice on a new compression stack. To me it seems way different to the standard stack.
