I have a 2011 EC 250 estart. I would bet it has more hours on it than you have on all the bikes you have owned together and it has never not started on the e start. You really are the BRO science of dirt bikes.

KTM 300 or Beta 300rr or Gas Gas 300

The bikes turn over fine they just won't start. I put my spark tester on and no spark when cranking on E start. New rotor and pcm and it works fine.

KTM 300 or Beta 300rr or Gas Gas 300

I have one of the early 18's that had the e-start problem and it has been resolved free of charge. It now starts just as well as my Beta. I'm sure that's not what a fanboy wants to hear but it's just the way it is.

Australasian Dirt Bike magazine picked the EC300 king of the 300's. Just throwing that out there.

    Cycle World: EC300 vs RR300

You compared which GG to the TX? The GP is obviously nice. Standard 2018 EC250 to 2018 TX300. The only selling point that the KTM/Husky has is the counter balancer if that is a big deal for someone. As far as I'm concerned the vibration on most new 2 strokes minimal anyways. I'm not saying the TX is a bad bike but the suspension and jetting was garbage out of the box. I'm 6 foot 185 naked and no Graham Jarvis but fairly decent rider for an old(er) guy and I found the Gasser was able to be trail ridin comfortability yet I could pound rocks and logs at a good race pace without it scaring the shit out of me. Very confidence inspiring bike to ride right out of the box. Your mileage may vary! PS The 18 TX was not even as good as my old 13 Beta. lol

    Cycle World: EC300 vs RR300

Yes still on a 13 with well set up front (KYB TC) and rear suspension and an engine that has been gone though by what I would call a fairly competent mechanic. I have rode all Beta 300s except the 18 and not one has been better than my 13. I don't have any skin in this game like you do. I just call them the way I see it and the GasGas is a better package. I spent enough time on an 18 TX300 also to know that IMHO the 18 GasGas is the best place to spend your money on a new 2 stroke this year.

    Cycle World: EC300 vs RR300

XC cross country no head light. EC enduro with headlight. Just because the EC comes better equipped in the standard version than the Beta, does not make it apples to oranges in my eyes. You pay extra for the Beta Race also. I have RE and still like my wifes 18 EC better.

If you use the RE would you not compare it to the GP then?
