  1. Are you interested in selling them? I am after a set of those.
  2. snapped one @ 5000km on my ktm 690. dynoed at 60rwhp. took out my clutch slave my yz250 dynoed at 42rwhp in comparison.
  3. yfz pistons have a bigger wrist pin. 20mm i believe. a common mod the quad guys do is a WR crank conversion because the piston is stronger
  4. cheers guys
  5. Hi guys just after some advice. Dont seem to be getting any responses in the suspension forum. I am currently building my supermoto race bike and am about to get the suspension done. Been trying to find out if its worth purchasing a newer rear shock to revalve rather than using my WR's stocker. Can't seem to find a straight answer on the forums search. I suspect the YZF units are better but cannot confirm. If it is better could you please let me know which year i should aim for. Im rocking ohlins forks so i kinda wanna make it at least decent in the shock department to but cant afford a ohlins rear Any advice or opinions is much appreciated!

  7. Wow what a coincidence. I just rebuilt my swingarm in my 2001 yz250 You need the allballs swingarm and linkage kit. The linkage kit comes with a bottom shock bearing. I bought mine from rocky mountain.
  8. Hi guys! Been reconditioning my YZ250 WR 2001 model (rare Australia only road legal yz250!). It Blew a conrod thrust bearing. Think the previous owner was hammering the wrist pins in.... ewwk. Although i did have it pin alot at the supermoto track when it blew. Also happen to have my WR450F 2006 model in pieces which oddly blew a big end conrod bearing. I'm slowly building this into a 523cc ice cube big bore. Just waiting on some machining. Anyways I figured I'd take this opportunity to ask the 2 stroke community if there is anything they would like me to try swap around and see if it fits. Im thinking along the lines of transmission of course! Have ordered 3/4/5 wr426 gears however it seems the community is unsure if the 450 gearbox will fit. Please let me know if there is any interest in this.
  9. 14 or 15/42 for the last 3 years on the road in supermoto trim 65,000+ km pew pew
  10. i used a motion pro splitter. i believe tusk sell a cheaper one but i couldnt get it to australia. some have modified flywheel/pulley pullers for cars and used them instead. theres a thread somewhere on here i think its in the tutorial section. to put together i used a tusk crank installer for magneto side. and the freezer/heat trick for the clutch side. the tusk puller doesnt have anything that fits the clutch side and i couldnt be bothered making an adapter(did this first obviously)
  11. dont the new generation alloy frames use a different head i.e. different cams? (06 yz +)
  12. i tried chasing my stutter by adjusting the TPS. its covered in your manual. you basically measure the ohms as i recall. i tried setting mine to min and to max. didnt really make much difference. only my vortex x10 on map 07/08 fixed my stutter.
  13. +1 for using torx bits to unstuck things!
  14. im using a modquad impeller in combo with fluidyne radiators on a supermoto 06. runs great. never hits over 90C at lights no fan
  15. did u overtorque the clutch springs?
