DRZ pics, lets see your Z

I haven't posted in a long time, here are some recent pics of my street legal 2003 E model (sm frame). Engine has yosh cams but is otherwise stock and most of the usual mods/fixes have been done. Tank is a BL Italia aluminum with rmz shrouds, that usually gets the most interest and questions. After a number of years as SM only I finally dug out the old dirt wheels and put them on for some fun at the local ski area that started holding riding weekends through about 30 miles of new trails. It was such a blast! The BEFORE shot when I started swapping it back to dirt..

    Best bike cover to transport?

No cover, too much to go wrong.
  4. The rotor will fit all years. The caliper adapter depends on if you have a S/E or SM model.

    Gearing on a 400E Supermoto?

I'm sure this has been covered a bit, but is it true the the internal gear ratios are different between the SM and E model bikes? Just questioning that since sprocket choices might be slightly different among models. Hopefully someone who knows for sure can chime in on this one. btw, I run 15-39 on the street, 15-44 at the kart track

    Z50 training wheels?

And your kids shouldn't watch TV... Plenty of kids learn to ride before they can pedal!! There's a few ebay options: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Honda-training-wheels-xr50-xr-50-crf50-crf-z50-z50r-/200638102681?pt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories&hash=item2eb6f67c99&vxp=mtr http://www.ebay.com/itm/crf50-xr-50-xr50-training-wheels-honda-crf-z50-z50r-/350452510105?pt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories&hash=item519898ed99&vxp=mtr http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-HONDA-TRAINING-WHEELS-XR50-XR-CRF-CRF50-Z50-Z50R-70-/170681134570?pt=Motors_ATV_Parts_Accessories&hash=item27bd636dea&vxp=mtr
  11. I just noticed this pic while scrolling through some threads. Looks to be the Pro-Taper version of the clamp adapter you were looking at..
  12. The link and the pic shown appear to be right for your S model. If you look at the bottom of the Easton clamp you'll see that it's a 1 7/8" half-moon that is designed to rest where the 1 7/8" bar normally would on your oem triple clamp. So it will end up raising the bar up a bit, which should be a good thing in most cases as it makes it easier to reach the bars when you're standing on the pegs... I'd say order them up!! It's similar in application to this: http://www.ebay.com/...7274943&vxp=mtr or

    Looking for a headlight shroud

I think your best bet is do go full aftermarket and ditch the oem setup. Just look around different sites and find a headlight you like ... thumpertalk store should have some or w w w . epicmotosports.com/headlights.aspx or http://www.motostran...ghts-s/1857.htm or http://www.ebay.com/...-All-Categories
  14. I picked it up on motostrano.com clearance deal website, www.twowheelsteals.com . I believe it's the generic supermoto caliper with the adapter to fit the s/e model. It was under $300 at the time so I jumped on it. I had to use the Braking brand rotor (model stx-55D) in order to get everything to fit correctly. The motomaster and EBC rotor I tried didn't have enough surface area for the larger pads. Works well overall, but I also use a 13 or 14mm radial m/c pump.
  15. I just zip-tied mine on...been fine for a few years now. sorry it's the wrong angle, but you get the idea You can sort of see it here:
