As a new member to TT, let me introduce myself. I'm a former 25-year Alaska emmigrant now living in central Oregon. My passion for motorcycles in split among street riding, trail riding, distance touring, vintage MX racing & moto-journalism. The only hole that I need to fill is dual-sport.
I am very serious about buying a DR-Z400S this coming spring. I fully realize that this bike is not intended for serious off-road exploits (my trusty '73 CZ 250 motocrosser is up to that task). However, I would like to reduce the overall weight considerably if possible & cost-effective. Is this reasonable or should I be looking at the "E" & the possibility of making it licenseable? Also....what is the largest capacity fuel tank available for the "S"? Thank you.
