I was thinking about adding a BedBuddy to my 5x8, but the front "rail" (that the BB would mount to) is too high. It'd be more sanitary/flexible than wheel chocks, even the ones that have the quick-mount hardware. I also plan on running some angle iron along the inside edges of the bed, and installing some heavy forged shouldered eyebolts along the edges for tie-down points that are out of the way. (The McMaster catalog has a wide selection.) Good lights, Bearing Buddys, a solid padlock (I just replaced a stolen 5x8), spare tire, and tongue box for fuel/tools are all good additions too.
