  5. I'm not sure what the air cut valve is. Is it what looks to be a jet at the rear of the carb?
  6. Hi Eddy hope you can help. WR450 05 Bike backfires like a demon on deceleration. Engine runs hot. Original jetting from factory 155 main and 45 pilot. Played with jetting from 155 through 175 with no difference in backfiring. Bike is difficult on hot start but will fire up if i open gas about 1 1/6th. fitted JD jetting kit altitude needle and 168 main and still have the hot start problem. Johannesburg @6000 ft Fitted GYT-R fuel screw and can turn all of the way in with no difference at all. Then reduced the pilot to 38, again i can turn fuel screw all of the way in with no change. Please help. Gary

    eddie, some fcr help

Hello Eddie hope that you can help. 05 WR 450 White brothers exhaust. Originally had a large backfire on over run from new. Checked carb found main to be #155 pilot #45. Plated with jetting from 155 through to 175 with no better performance or reduction in backfiring. Bike has always battled to start hot Bike seems to run hot Recently fitted JD jetting kit. Now no backfire but still battles to start when hot, Fitted GYT-R billet fuel screw and can turn in all the way with no difference in idling or running. Figured that pilot was too rich so fitted #38. The bike is exactly the same as #45 pilot and can turn in the fuel screw completely. Please help
  8. Having trouble with my 05 WR 450. Bike backfires like crazy. Tends to run hot too, Ive checked the jetting and have tried 155-175 with no major improvement. The bike also requires the throttle to be opened slightly to fire up! Any ideas?
