    dr. d hot start?

I have a 2000 yz426....I just ran into the same problem as you. The hot start cable was getting bound up underneath my seat. Try checking your cable routing....Hope this helps Mike

    I have a stock header and pipe for a 2000 yz 426.........interested email me.....firemike332000@yahoo.com.......or i will check back here....c-ya
  3. Heli coil is the way to go....Had the same problem with the drain screw on the filter......Works great now....
  4. I also have a 2000 426 with white brothers e-series pipe.....I just put a quiet core insert in.....I can tell a difference in the sound....but I have not had it tested yet...I was riding at Stonyfort, here in california, and a ranger pulled me over...he suggested the fmf Q series to me....He said it would make the 426 pass the 96db test.....It might of just been talk on his part, but he seemed to have a pretty good knowledge of combinations that would work...Good luck..

Are the yz400 or 426 any good.

I have a 2000 yz 426.....I love this bike...I just did some motor work to it....I figured why spend $8000 on a new bike when I could spend about $2000 in mods....I just port and polished the head, hot cams (intake and auto decompression exhaust cam, dr.d hot start lever, new piston and kibblewhite stainless valves......I will keep this bike forever.....I have other bikes, but this one will always be in my stable. Great all-around bike....track woods sand...it does it all......Good luck on your purchase!!!

    426 wont start

Solve this problem permanetly.......Put a auto decompression cam in...then put a dr.d hot start lever where your decompression lever is....Glad you got it fixed.....Have fun riding!!!!
