  1. I had the same thing happen to me last year on my 05. The timing chain jumped several teeth on the intake. Luckily there was no damage done.
  2. I am also 6'1" and run CR high bend. They feel a lot better than stock.
  3. I'm used to running my RMZ450 in the woods with a 4 speed. I run out of gears way to early. In the last DIRT BIKE it stated the XCF topped out at 97 MPH. Does anyone know the different ratios between the the f and w.
  4. I feel your pain. I am trying to decide between the 450 xcf and 450 xcf-w. I am leaning towards the xcf due to the 5 speed and about ten pounds lighter. I will be using it to race hare scrambles and enduros.
  5. I currently race a 2005 RMZ450 in hare scrambles and enduros. I am looking at buying a 2007 450sxf. How does it handle in the woods? How does the e-start work? Any info would be helpful.
  6. I just rebuilt mine about a month ago. At first I was not sure if I could do it. I had rebuilt about 3 two strokes in the past. It was slightly more difficult than a two stroke, but still pretty easy. All I did was follow the service manual. Good Luck.
  7. Just wondering how many of you have rebuilt your motor. I have an 05 with two full seasons of racing hare scrambles. It is starting to use a lot more oil and it smokes quite a bit. I think it may need piston and rings. Thanks
  8. I tried to install a hinson clutch basket, inner hub and pressure plate today. The first two plates that are installed called wave washers don't fit properly on the inner hub. Has anyone removed these and put in another plate?
  9. I bought mine on ebay for about $20.
  10. I've had a moose tall seat on my rm250 for the last three years and I loved it. I am not sure if I am going to put one on my RMZ450 yet. The guy I bought it from put a gripper cover on it. I guess I will try that out first.
  11. Does anyone use the standard 10W40 from Suzuki?
  12. I recently purchased an 05 RMZ450 with a Yoshi pipe. The previous owner removed and discarded the spark arrestor. I was looking for some info on where I could get one or if someone had one for sale. Thanks
