  1. I always think of it more as the Dirtbike Burning Man...
  2. Wenatchee RV Rentals is who we had bringing trailers out for rent. There were 15 of them there this year.
  3. It is dusty right now and no muddy sinkholes. It never hurts to be prepared though.
  4. Okay, I'm going to just say it.... everyone needs to ignore pretty much ALL advice from TigerTanker (the one year finisher veteran). If you are broken down on the course you have a couple of options. None of which are what TT advises. ABSOLUTELY DO NOT LEAVE THE COURSE TO CROSS COUNTRY BACK TO CAMP!!! We have Wiz and his sweep teams patrolling the course. If you head cross country there are tons of potential bad things to happen to you. And then we will NOT find you until the Rancher calls us the next month about a strange carcass laying next to a bike. The sweep teams will advise you on the best way back. 2019 Desert 100 Race Chairman
  5. Sorry, we have the sweep teams filled for this year.
  6. I have ridden that area and it is pretty much just a two track road going up from behind the Grange to the lakes. This area has some issues though with legality. I have been told both that it is legal but not signed as such, as well as told that it was closed to ORV. Ed Hayden from the La Collage Inn may have some insight.
  7. http://stumpjumpers.org/…/2018-desert-100-pre-registration…/ Pre-Registration is now open! If you want to save time in Odessa and not wait in the longer lines, simply follow the link above and select which events you want to pre-register for. Fill out and print the PDF, and mail the form and check or money order to the address listed on the form. Pre-registration forms and payment must be received by March 31st. If you miss the deadline, don't worry, just bring cash with you to Odessa in April. You can even print out the form and bring it with you so we don't have to read your handwriting and misspell your name in the results.
  8. That is for the race series, not the Poker Run series they are talking about. Jeff Mortzheim <jmortzheim@nmaoffroad.org> is the guy in charge of the Poker Run series. You should email him for info.
  9. Only if you are parking. There has been a lot of confusion online that this is an "Access Pass" and not a "Parking Pass". If you ride there on street plated bike without ORV tabs or a Disco Pass, you are legal until you park somewhere. Bottom sentence at this page.... http://discoverpass.wa.gov/31/About-the-Pass "If you just want to drive through state recreation lands managed by DNR and WDFW and you do not leave your vehicle, you do not need a pass."
  10. We still have spots available for this race. It is the only chance to ride these trails at our private property. They are what Reiter used to be. Don't miss out!
  11. Yes, this is on our private property.
  12. I just renewed my 450R and they tried to give me a plate like they give the ATV's instead of an ORV tab. They have completely confused themselves with all of this.
  13. The Buttstomper 24hr Offroad Challenge is July 15th/16th. The flyer and Pre-Registration can be found at: http://stumpjumpers.org/DadaMailPro/dada/mail.cgi/r/SJMCMembers/912789362525/neil.stamp/frontier.com/
