  1. Please help me out, I've looked everywhere for black plastics. Found fenders and radiator shrouds but can't find black side plates or front plate for my 400E. Thanks.
  2. Thanks, that'll help.
  3. What happened to the www.drz.info website?
  4. I was told it's possible to change the jets on a BSR36 carb on a '06 CA model drz400e by just loosening the clamps and rotating the bottom of the carb toward me. Does anyone have any experience with this? Do I need to remove the throttle cables (if so how) or any other hoses, wires or parts? Thanks for any advice.
  5. OK. Please explain. For the drz400s you generally suggest 3x3 mod, 140MJ, and needle on fourth clip position. For the CA model drz400e Dynojet stage 2 kit suggests pulling the snorkel (giving the 3x3 hole) then using a 150MJ and the needle on the third clip position. What do I do? I know you suggested I follow the DJ instructions but why the difference? I would think it would be the same since they both have the 3x3 and same carb. Thanks.
  6. Wow, that was fast. Thanks. Does this mean that if I decide not to do the Dynojet kit and only do the 150MJ with 27.5PJ and 3x3 mod it won't work the same as on the s model. If so, what will (besides the DJ kit)? Thanks.
  7. Sorry if this is a stupid question. But, if the drz400s and CA model drz400e have the same engine and carb. then why does Dynojet make a different kit for each (bigger main jets in CA kit and I believe a different needle clip position?) Thanks.
  8. Does the 400e manual also cover the CA version with the Mikuni carb? I also heard good things about www.repairmanuals.com.
  9. I also have the same bike as you. Did the end cap mod and 13 tooth front sprocket. Before I do the Dynojet mod I'm going to try just changing the MJ to a 150 and PJ to 27.5 with the 3x3 mod and see if that is enough. It will cost about $4 for the jets and take much less time. I'll let you know. www.drz.info recommends this as an alternative to the DJ kit. Has anyone out there tried this?
  10. Use a 1 3/8" bi-metal holesaw to drill out the tip of your exhaust. Check out drz.info.
  11. I'm going to put in a 150 MJ and 27.5 PJ with the 3x3 mod. and see how that helps before I try the DJ kit. It's a lot easier. I'll let you know how works out.
  12. Thanks for the quick response. After hours of reading I finally feel like I have the right solution. The DJ kit doesn't mention the pilot jet, so leave the stock one in? Also, I'm thinking of getting the kientech long fuel screw. Do I want to turn this in a bit at higher altitudes to lean it out a bit? Is that what this does? Thanks!
  13. I just bought a 2006 drz400e CA with Mikuni bsr36 carb. Have read drz.info and read every thread and post about jetting and 3x3 mods to get some more power. I've noticed all the advice for the bsr36 is based on the stage one DJ kit for the S model. After looking at the Dynojet sight I saw that they now make a stage one and two kit for the CA E model. The stage two kit comes with much bigger main jets and is for bikes with snorkel removed. Also, If I decide not to use the DJ kit and just put in a 150 MJ and 27.5 PJ with 3x3 mod, do I need to mess with the fuel screw (It doesn't mention anything at drz.info)? Oh yeah, I did the 1 3/8" endcap mod already. I ride from 200' to 4000'. Burned, thank you for taking the time to help out soooo many people!(Hint)
