  1. I just got mine this week; 2006 950, and I LOVE IT! Nothing heavy for me so far, but it's nice to know it's up to the task if I am!
  2. Hey Guys, I have a 2000 Duke 2 and I am changing the oil this weekend. Do any of you have any suggestions on the brand, weight or type of oil to use? The current oil I am using is semi-synthetic Motol, which seams to work well, but I thouhgt I would ask if anyone knew of something better. Thanks in advance for the assistance.
  3. Buy some Alpine Stars No Stop trials boots. They are super comfortable and have great traction.
  4. Hey Guys, I stand corrected by the Guru himself! I went back over the carb and there was a jet that didn't get inspected in the first try... I had a friend look it over and he (nor I), isn't astute with Del'orto carbs and missed that jet. But after I took a little time to process everyones suggestions/ideas, I pulled the carb apart again and checked to make sure that all the jets were super clean. The one we missed in the first attempt was clogged, and after reinstalling everything the Climber came to life like nothing had ever happened! Thanks again to everyone who responded, and I truely appreciate the help!

  6. Thanks Guys, I really appreciate all the help!
  7. Hey Burned, Thanks for your reply, but that isn't the problem... I checked the fuel supply and took the carb off to inspect the jets - flowing freely and clean as a whisttle. Any other suggestions? I was told it could be the crank seal(s). If it is the seal(s) can I just take the side covers off and inspect the areas for leaking? I hope it is that easy! I can get the seals for $13.00 apiece, so that wouldn't be a problem. Anyway, if anyone can offer assistance it will be greatly appreciated.
  8. Hey Guys, The carb is clean as a whisttle. Any other suggestions?
  9. Going over the carb tonight. Hope that is all it is. The bike makes no funky noises when running. Wish me luck!
  10. Thanks Matt!
  11. Yes, new spark plug as well.
  12. Hey Guys, I posted this in the GENREAL section, but I thought I would try here also. I have a 2 stroke bike that has had little use in it's life, (Aprilia Climber trials bike with a Rotax engine), and now I want to start riding a bit and it won't run! The bike will fire and rev-up high then die. It won't take fuel when you work the throttle either. I have been told it could be an air leak, but after inspection of the carb boots, they look to be fine, and no other areas appear to be in bad condition either. I rode the bike a few months ago and everything worked fine. I have replaced the gas with fresh 80 to 1, so that shouldn't be affecting it. I have also been told it could be a clogged pilot jet, but wouldn't the main jet kick in and take throttle? Any help is greatly appreciated...

  14. Hey Man, I just sent you a PM on a 1991 Aprilia Climber I have for sale in Western North Carolina. it could be exactly what you are looking for! Anyone else interested? If so, PM...
  15. Hey Guys, Does anyone have one of those hinged sockets (14mm and 17mm, I think), from the factory toolkit? I was trying to use mine in an "improper" way last night on a different bike, and really tweaked it! It can probably still be used, but I figured if I could get a replacement it would be better than being broken on the trail and that being the reason I couldn't get out! If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks and everyone have a great weekend! GO RIDE!!!!!
