  1. I decided to revive my 88' XR600R that has been sitting in the garage for about 10 years. I changed the oil, oil filter, Scraped the tar out of the gas tank, cleaned the petcock riser, removed the carb and cleaned it. After riding for a couple of hours the throttle seems to get sticky and won't spring return to off. If I let the bike sit and cool down it has a strong spring return until I ride for a couple of hours then it will not spring return off again. It has the origional carb. There doesn't appear to have any cable binding and the teflon cable roller disc looked good. Anyone with ideas would be appreciated. I'm hoping not to crash and have the bike keep going...
