what can i do to make my ct125 faster?

If i was going to upgraded the rear suspension, what shock&spring could i use?
  2. I thought it may be fun to add a few mods to my 77 ct125 since im rebuilding it, non stock. This is my first motorbike, i know aparently that it has the same engine as the cb125,sl125,xl125 and any others i have forgotten so i was wondering what i can do to this engine. I dont want to make it a race bike, but something with a little bit more pick up. Are there any old school/new school moderate mods for these bikes? what did everyone do back in the day?

help me remove my rear axle.

Im planning on a different paint scheme then stock but i am going to do the bike justice, im getting rid of the luggage rack for sure. probably the chain guard also. I just have to figure out a way to mount signals. but i guess ill do that last. im planning gloss black for the frame, flat black the engine and a deep british racing green for the tank.

  8. Im trying to remove my rear axle on my bike, ive already detached the the brake and the lower stabalizer bar but i cant get my dahm axle out. any help!!??
  9. well i dont wanna go super crazy with cleaning it, i wanna basically have it in a situation that if you removed the motor there would be any unpainted spots missing. This is my very first motorbike, im taking it as a learning experince. right now, i just dissambled some of it. i took off the front fender, the seat and the tank. and the side covers. working on the rear fender right now. I want to strip this bike down. repaint it custom colours and ressamble it. many might say my bike isnt worth it, but i like doing things like this. so that goo stuff should work pretty good i take it once i removed the engine. (if im brave enough to remove the engine.
  10. The previous owner did a shaddy job on painting the bike, it looks like he went over it with a spray can. i was wondering if anyone has any tips for cleaning and removing old paint from an engine ?

    my 77 ct 125.

just picked her up today. im gonna repaint it, re-powerd coat exhaust and other things. I cleaned the rims with today and got rid of what i thought was rust. The bike has an original 1400km on it! started up first kick in -7 weather. I rode it home across the field behind my house, the guy lived really close to me. inside the house working on it. anybody have any tips for restoring an old bike? mechanically its great. but i wanna give it a military theme or stick with black.
  12. Ive had a hard time judging the size of the xr50, im looking for something to have fun with by my house. The xr50 looks pretty fun, the only problem will i fit? im 6' 4" only 185 pounds, will i be able to ride this bike? this is the bike im looking at right now http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=4602705952&ssPageName=MERC_VI_ReBay_Pr4_PcY_BID_Stores_IT
