  1. Thanks
  2. I'se a learnin' gal and was wondering if mathematically calculating horsepower and such really approximates the actual live-testing output? Do other things (eg., amount of fuel engine is getting) factor in as well or, at best, render the calculated approximations neutral?
  3. Good debate guys. I have to vouch for Racer on this one - I was there when they tested the box on the 70 and it made no difference whatsoever. The brother men are very similar in height, weight and riding ability and they did indeed switch riders as mentioned in the quote. Actually, it was all done fairly scientifically (obsessively perhaps? heh) with wind speed, fuel weight, terrain, individual engine performance, and body mods taken into consideration. Then again, the test was done on a '70, not on a '50 as HSB's test was so who knows - maybe such a mod would indeed make a 50, almost literally, fly. 70 (seventy) ft/s is however, quite unbelievable. If it's true then, wow. Sounds like good advice to me.
  4. Upon searching the internet (e-bay included) for a carb kit for my 1976 Honda XR75, we found ones for every year but 1976. Was wondering if anyone knows if the 1975 or 1977 kits would be compatible with my '76 model? Or perhaps there's something else out there that would work equally as well? Thank you, Twig PS... I received the little guy as a Christmas present from my boyfriend. We're cleaning it up and I'm digging right into the repair and tune-up department and am having a blast!
