  1. Thank you guys very much... I tried like heck to pry the lower bearing off with a chisel but just ended up starting to affect the triple clamp...I guess I will need to take it in to get it removed with the proper tool. As for the races...I cannot punch them out to save my life so another reason to take it in cause I do want to change them as well. I got the shock figured out................THANK YOU!!!
  2. '03 YZ450F... Can anyone tell me how to remove the lower stem bearing???? Is there a way I can do it from home without having to take it to a MX shop??? Also... I took my shock off because I need to change the spring, however, I cannot figure out how to remove the existing spring from the shock??? Do I need a special tool for this or is there a trick?? Thank You Guys!!!!!!!!
  3. Thanks guys.......I will replace it I just thought maybe it was a result of sumthin else....
  4. WHY????????? What should I do??? When I pull my choke to start her up, it sucks back in.. This began after I installed the power now and power now plus... What could be causing this to happen?? Please help and thank you all.........
  5. Thank you very much!!!
  6. My bike has the following: Factory 4 with a power bomb header Power Now Power Now Plus Quickshot Airbox breathers Twin Air filter I dont get bog but some popping on the deceleration but not much...I run 93 octane from the pump only. I ride MX mostly. I would like more throttle response (low end!!!) I read somewhere that the amount of turns of the "fuel mixture screw" would indicate if I need smaller or larger jets...Is this true and how is it done?? What steps would you recommend I take to get optimum performance?? THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!!!!!!!!! I appreciate ya'lls time!
  7. Hey Thumper Pros, I have an '03 YZ450F and live in good ole Houston Texas. I have added a couple mods to my bike and now I am wondering .... How do I tell if I need Jetting???? Is there any simple test I can do to tell if I need a smaller or larger jet? I want to reach optimum performance! I have an air mixture screw that I mess with sometimes but I dont know exactly what I am listening for... What are the tests or signs you look for that can tell if jetting is needed?? Then how can i tell when my jetting is right on???? Thanks a bunch
  8. Anyone??? Or can you tell me where to find this info? Thanks!

  10. 2003 YZ450F How do I know if I need to re-jet my thumper??? Is there any place you could recommend where I could learn about jetting and when it is neccessary and what the different options are etc.... What I am trying to say is....I know nothing about Jetting and I want to learn!!! I just installed a Boyesen Quickshot and a Power Now, it came with a FMF pipe and silencer.... and I have never touched the jetting...How do I know if I need to and how would it help my performance?? Sorry for my ignorance and I feel like a goon for not knowing about this stuff but I really would like to learn!!!!!!!!! Thanks
  11. I got new steel plates and new friction plates which were soaked overnight before I installed them. I used 2 feeler guages opposite from eachother and had an install gap of .30 exactly with the guages sliding out pretty tight. I use Rotella T oil and change it after every 4th ride. I will play with the perch adjuster again and tighten the slack and see what happens??? When in neutral and on the stand my tire does not spin at all but when i put in in 1st gear it starts to spin fast and when I pull in the clutch it maybe slows down just a tiny bit..... Thanks!
  12. Thanks Kawi! I did mean 4th gear I will try playing with my perch adjuster again...I did before and didnt experience much of a difference. I will try again...thanks!
  13. Thanks Bud! Hey so then I have my clutch pulled in, is it not supposed to pull forward at all when i accelerate??? When on the stand and I put it in first gear....what should happen???? Should the wheel spin just a little and then stop when I pull the clutch in? How do I get "proper clutch cable slack"?????? Thanks!
  14. I have an '03 YZ450F...I love my rekluse! I ride mainly MX... Here are my concerns: (my gap is set at .30) (stiff spring in turned out about 1/2 inch) -When I put the bike in gear it pulls forward...I pull my clutch in which helps but if I have my clutch pulled in and blip the throttle it still pulls forward...??? -When I have my bike up on the stand and put it in gear, the rear tire spins fairly fast...if I pull my clutch in it slows down just a tiny bit.... -I am experiencing some slipping in 5th gear Any suggestions?????? Thanks Bruthas!
  15. I dunno Anyone has experience with this that can help?????
