Just found this forum while looking for info on my 94 kx500 I'm building, nice site with lots of info
Almost done with my 500 that I run in the dirt and with 17's on the pavement. Bike is getting a 540cc kit, fmf gnarly desert pipe & silencer, boyseen rad valve and the kips valve cleaned. Should move out a bit better than the stock motor did!
Bike is also getting a magura hydro clutch, lighting coil, acerbis cyclops headlight, 02 kx250 rear fender, moose handguards, renthals and some new frame guards.
When on the pavement I run excel 17's (black) laced up on stock hubs, braking wave rear rotor, 320mm ebc front rotor with a caliper relocator and michelin pilot powers. I also change the gearing to 15-43 for our roadcourse.
I'm sure I'll have some jetting questions once I get this thing together, should move a little for fuel & air I'll post some pictures of the progress.
