Fork oil amount 95 RM

They ARE twin-chambers so have a set amount for the outer chamber. Anyone have a manual lying around? I believe the 94 was the same?

You are supposed to use nitrogen in the shock, NOT HELIUM? Or are you working on the space station?

YZ400F Stack opinion and tuning advice

If you want to take some of the sting out of the harshness try this with 110mm oil level. (5) 24 - .10 20 - .13 18 - .13 16 - .13 14 - .13 11 - .13 18 - .50 But these have a ton of bleed at the mid-valve with zero support for the mid-valve shims. The shims got destroyed quickly. That makes the fork blow-through the first half of the travel which makes for a damping spike both at the base-valve stack and from the air-spring. They also have what we call a cylinder valve (CV) at the top of the cartridge. It was supposed to allow air/foamy oil a path out of the cartridge to make for more consistent damping. It worked too good dumping the damping... The ABS kit above eliminates the CV. The stock bottoming system was harsh and unforgiving. The kit upgrades that too. You need to have someone install the kit that has some valving knowledge and shims though.

If you really want to fix those forks, this is the way. But don't ask him for advice if you ever want to sit on a barstool, level. http://www.racingsuspensionproducts.com/products/abswpk.html Some mechanical skill is required. If you want, you could send me the cartridges and I can build them for you.

Dumb Vacuum Pump Questions

Just beware they bill for $100.00 when order is placed. It gets corrected before it actually comes out of your account. I assume their typical order is for several hundred pieces. When we order it's probably going to be under $50.00.

2013 250SXF Question about direction

Excellent post. If Tye would LISTEN to anyone that posts suggestions, instead of just bitching and telling everyone that answers that they are wrong, we would help him. But he apparently doesn't want help?

DRZ 400 S Shock Shimstack

It is lowered 1.5" with a Moose link. I agree on all the above. Until it's freshened up, you can't really know what to do. I actually think I'm going to pass on this one. The owner won't listen to anything I say so I'm going to suggest he take it back to the guy that worked on it last. Just really don't want to get in the middle of it. I completely disagree with using the linkage to lower the bike. They are too soft for an aggressive rider to start with. Changing the linkage just amplifies the issue.

I replaced the video with a better version. It's really not that bad to do. Until you learn to do it yourself you will continue chasing your tail.

DRZ 400 S Shock Shimstack

Russ? Any suggestions for valving a 400 E with a lowering link? I've tried to explain to the owner it would make more sense to go back to stock link and shorten travel but he won't budge. Bike is a 2004 and shock has never been serviced. Complaint is bottoming. He says comp is fully IN but I'm not convinced he knows which clicker is which... Edit: Found this stacks for the E model? How much shock travel do they have and linkage ratio? I would REALLY prefer to use an internal spacer to lower it. 4) .20x44 3) .15x44 1) .15x34 1) .10x26 1) .20x42 1) .20x40 1) .20x38 1) .20x36 1) .20x34 1) .25x32 1) .25x30 1) .25x28 1) .25x26 1) .25x24 1) .25x22 1) .30x20 2) .30x40 PLATE 1) .60x18 Starting at the piston, Rebound side: 6) .20x40 1) .10x25 1) .20x40 1) .25x38 2) .25x36 1) .25x34 1) .30x32 1) .30x30 1) .30x28 1) .30x26 1) .30x24 1) .60x25 PLATE

I read one sentance and gave up...you really need to get out more...
25. Why not contact the suspension tuner and ask them? They may offer a discount on parts/service since the bike has been done before. Also they should have some info on exactly what has been done?
