  1. putting new fork seals in the sons 04 crf 230, does anyone have a service manual with the amount of oil that goes in in each fork?? i called my local dealer and they were being an ass and suggested i buy a service manual, last time i go there!!any help would be great thanks!!
  2. i got a good ole 01 400exc, the front shocks are toast, i bought a set of 01 125sx forks and i know they will fit, but what will the difference be ride wise?? i am a hefty guy 280lbs, will the 125 shocks be good enough?? i would think they would be better as they are for mx, any input??

  4. ok, i got an 01 400exc and it has front forks that are basically shot. i bought a used pair on ebay from another 400. and after i paid, my buddy tells me he has a 01 125 sx. ok now my questions, i know the 125 forks will fit, but what is the valving difference?? im a big dude. would i be better off with the 400 ebay forks or the 125sx forks?? and they all have numbers stamped on the caps. 2 sets on each cap, one kinda looks like a longer part number, and then the other is a 4 digit with a point in it. like 43.98, any input would be great!!

    EFI on EXC's for '08?

    efi is the bomb!! i got a 07 grizzly 700 efi and it works awesome!! much better than the 660 carb.

  9. new to ktm, just got a clean used 400exc, was riding it today and noticed it was dripping coolant from the left top side of cylinder head, around the cover thing on top side of head, there is a weep hole under it and that is where it is coming from, any suggestions before i try to figure it out?? thanks in advance!!
  10. ok, i posted about jetting issues, now what about the tps?? i have heard about totally unhooking it on some dirt bikes, what is its purpose?? service manual is very vague on the topic.

    how do adjust the accelarator pump?? i have the yammy service manual does it show it in there?? thanks, i havent messed with it lately since i posted it has been in the single digits, i figured that would be a factor also, so im gonna wait till it warms up a bit!
  12. ok, i run a smll repair shop and a dude brought me a really clean 03 450 in to look at. said it was leaking oil bad, well it has a big ole crack in the right main case, dude was pissed and said the heck with it and i bought it for 800.00. thought i could part it out on ebay if nothing else, but now im gonna try to fix it as it is in a-1 shape. new cases at yammy are 475.00 not bad , but i hate to tear whole motor down. anyone have a good running engine for sale?

    Yamaha yfz 450 jetting nightmare

    ok, full white bros aluminum exhaust, 48 pilot 168 main, needle on 5th poistion, off idle throttle it sputters and then takes off, idles fine mid and top are good, just if you stab throttle off idle it burbles and sputters, sometimes dies. maybe pilot jet problems?? should i go up?? tried a 50 pilot and still the same, also air screw is at 2.5 turns. probably 650 ft elevation and temp is cold 25 degrees. i would apperiacate any help.and airbox lid is off.
  14. i just got a used 04 450r, i adjusted the valves as the intakes were way tight, it has the honda power up cam and airbox mod, full hmf exhaust, i added a dynojet jet kit as it wasnnt jetted properly. it starts and screams when you ride it. but at an idle it will make a popping noise from the airbox and then die. i had the exhaust off. does anyone think i might need a new crush gasket where the header bolts onto the head?? that it might not not have a good seal and this is making the popping noise?? that is what i am thinking, any input would be nice, thanks!!
