  3. Thanks for the Information - much appreciated.
  4. Im PLanning on running E85 for a specific race class in the "mexican 1000" I have some head work as well and i Am told it will likely run a fair bit better if i can advance the timing a few degrees. There should be a way to do this. Im not real familiar with this black box ignition mod. Can you provide a few more details?
  5. Is it the same for most dirt bikes? Does anyone know how to advance the ignition timing on a 2009 crf450x? If so, how do you tell how many degrees you have advanced it? I have a new cam from a 2002 crf450r I'm putting in along with pro circuit exhaust- air box mod - head port work - pink wire mod and I will install a jd jet kit. I may have to mess with the ignition timing to get the best results and i have no idea how to do it.- Thanks in advance.

  7. Has anyone put the 2002 crf450R cam in the 2009 crf450x ? I read that you may need a different head ?? Does anyone know if this is true? or will it fit in the stock 09 head. If so how were your results? Thanks in advance !
  8. Hello Yves, I read that you have a friend running a 450 with e85 and 62 HP. Can you send me his e-mail address as i have a few set up questions i would like to ask. I have a 2009 crf450x that im racing in the mexican 1000 in the Alternative fuel class, and i need to get it set up to run properly - AND IM IN A HURRY !The race is only 60 days away Thanks in advance. Kerry
  9. What exactly are these scroll charts used for and are they still necessary with the advent of modern day GPS. I'm entered in the mexican 1000 race and i'm trying to figure out if I need one or what the hell i would put in it that would be useful if im carrying a gps.? Any advice would be helpful.
  10. Still havent seen a ktm win the baja 1000 yet... The numbers don't lie.
  11. Has anyone run this tube replacement system on desert race bikes over a period of days? I'm considering doing the Mexican 1000 and I'm wondering if this would be a good:thumbsup: reliable option? Any comments would be appreciated.

Thanks for the info - the reason i'm considering the tubliss system is because they say you can basically run them without air if you had too. I thought that would give a little peace of mind. I'm just not sure about that theory at desert race speeds - and with the terrain of sharp rocks and so on..
