  1. Check this out and tell me what you think.
  2. Thought about it sitting in the garage collecting dust while worked all day....then mowed....
  3. I agree. but, would you buy a new modern cr 250 for say $7,500 if Honda made it? I feel like they are ignoring an entire market due to some enviro-nut reason that doesn't even apply motocross bikes.
  4. its not about "romance" with a 2 stroke. its about money. KTM sells more dirt bikes than any other manufacturer in the world. Industry also reports that KTM sells more 2 strokes worldwide than most other manufacturers sell four strokes worldwide. And KTM also has a thriving 4 stroke market. Since when does emissions play a part in closed-course race bikes? If Honda benefits from the whole "model line emissions bologna" how come it does not show up in their product? Do they produce more power than companies that manufacture 2 strokes? Not logical.
  5. Arizona

I have been out of AZ for 2 years...miss it.....but there is a public riding area near cottonwood az (with a dumb name that i cant remember) that if you just rip up the creek bed and keep going.....follow the right tributaires.....keep going.....you will find endless miles of singletrack ranging and continuing endlessly from 4,000 to 7,000 ft. I used to ride there EVERY SINGLE WEEKEND. Has just about any kind of terrain you could really ask for. I just parked across the street in the empty dirt lot and rode underneath the highway. never paid....for what? trail maintenance.....hah, the trails i ride dont want to be "maintained" the more tree branches the better. just dont wear nice gear, or ride a pretty bike.
  6. The "Man" in charge over at Honda's CRF (and formerly CR) development, Yasuhiro Yokoyama, cited "emissions" as the main challenge involved in producing 2-stroke motocross bikes. So let me ask this: do people buy CRF 450 and 250 dirt bikes in order to do their part in reducing emissions? He also made it sound like no one wants to buy Honda 2 strokes......if that were true then Service Honda wouldn't be selling the be-jeebes out of outdated 2 stroke Honda motors stuffed into modern Honda frames.....for $10,000.

  15. Arizona

Hello Arizona. Feels good to say that, since I have been mired in Texas working for the last six months. I get to come home briefly in December though. Anyway, I was hoping I could get some feedback for my little site: www.dirtaddict.wordpress.com. i just started it, and would love comments and suggestions. Also, if any of you have a somewhat customized machine, I would love to do a feature on it. Similar or different to the one I did on my old Suzuki 250(its on my site.) Thanks for any input. And if you do have a sweet bike with good photos, you can send them and info about it and what races you run to: jjburch2@gmail.com Thanks Joshua Burch.
