  1. Here's a link to a video of a ride up and down the dreaded Ortega Hwy. Three Husky 610's a Yamaha r600 and a DR650. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VRXu_jwi0pE

    DR650 Corbin seat owners

I just added an IMS tank with my stock Corbin seat. To make it fit you just have to move the rear seat mounts one hole over and drill another hole in the seat and put in a self taping screw.

    Parelli Rally Cross

They are MT 21's and I have 2,000 of trail/hwy and the rear has about 3/4 tread left. I do change the air pressure, 20lbs off-hwy, 32lbs on. I worry that sustained hwy speeds may really take a toll on the rear. I'm going to put my supermoto wheels on and use the my Avons.

    Parelli Rally Cross

I'm planning a 2,500 mile trip from L.A. to Pikes Peak, Moab, and Marysvale. I have fairly new Rally Cross Tires on a DR 650, anyone know what kind of mileage or wear I can expect on a 2,000 mile hwy grind?

    Supercross wheel size

You're just a young whipper snapper compared to me. The wheels just looked smaller to me on tv. You would think, with the way the tracks are, hairpin after hairpin, they would use something smaller to quicken the steering up. But I guess that tried it and didn't like it.

    Supercross Supercross wheel size

Watched a replay of San Deigo S/X and it looked to me the bikes were running a smaller front wheel, maybe a 19". Or do they run 21" wheels?

    Laminairlip on Buell Mod

My $300 Sony digital camera committed suicide by jumping out of my jacket pocket while riding on the 405. Maybe I can borrow a friends.

    Laminairlip on Buell Mod

I installed the LaminairLip on my 650 w/Buell Mod, I must say it helps alot! Wind blast is at the top of the shoulders on this 6' 1" fat guy. The bike is much more stable and tracks better at 85 mph since you don't need to have a death grip on the bars. It changes the look a bit, from the "Pencil Bird" in Disney's Alice in Wonderland, to the "Queen Alien" in the Alien movies. The lip is about 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch above the front brake hose. I ride 25 miles one way to work at 85 mph and usually get arm pump at the end of the ride, but now the commute is more like on my VTX bagger, only much more easy to split lanes.

Thnaks Bushpilot; I need a larger tank, in yellow, I know IMS and Clarke offer them in that color. The Clarke, however, would only net me .5 gallons, not worth it in my opinion. I don't see Acerbis offering thier tank in yellow. And Aqualine, well it's just two ugly for me.

Anyone know why the corbin seat for the stock tank does not fit the IMS tank? Is there a way to mod the seat to fit?

    My bike pics

It's lowered, as well as the front forks dropped 3/4", never had any head shake at any speed. It's funny that each bike has a radically different ride. The DR is like a Mini Cooper, fast and agile, the VTX is like driving a Cadillac, smooth and powerful, the bobber is like driving a train, it's long and takes forever to stop.
