  1. Figure $2200-$2500 tops. If it was completely stock it would be worth $500 more. Just how the used market goes. I never throw any of my stock components away. Always covert back to stock, sell the aftermarket parts separately and you will make more money. Was a little smarter with my DRZ this go round. Converted it over while it still had less than 200 miles on the odometer. My bike will like brand new when I go sell it; well expect for all the frame rubs...
  2. He probably thought you said BETA and not DRZ
  3. Good deal on a new 2017. I was able to get my 2016 "S" OTD for $6100 a few weeks ago. Paid $7100 back in 2006 for new "S" so at least I'm moving in the right direction
  4. Curious as well, how do you adjust the position to read correctly?
  5. Your talking my DRZ riding area for sure. Let me know when you want to hit up one of the National Forest trails some weekend.
  6. Just finish installing the Zeta Throttle Tube (DRZ400S DRZ400SM Zeta ZE45-5111Hi Speed - Quick Turn Aluminum Throttle Tube) from Soloracer.com. Initially, I thought it was bad and contacted their technical support saying it must be defective. They took time out on a weekend to work with me via e-mail to get it resolved. Had to remove all the free play on the throttle side cable (just a few inches from the throttle mount along the cable). Once all the free play was removed the throttle snapped closed like it should. A big thumbs up to Brett at SoloRacer for putting up with this idiot mechanic.
  7. Have a new set of ProTaper SE bars (old school with center bar) with the KX high bend. Plan to get a Scotts under bar mount next month with a riser to get it the raise needed.
  8. It's the Stinger trailer I picked up a few months ago to haul my R1200GS Adventure to rallies. Folds up and lays up on the wall in the garage out of the way. Bunch a more goodies showed up in the mail today. Need to get them installed this week and do a full walk around of the all the accessories. The first ride on the new DRZ and hit a 10 mile jeep trail complete with rock steps, good size boulders, and long mud holes. It was a blast seeing how the new bike can just motor right through it all in second gear most of the way. Would never had taken the big BMW through that for sure.
  9. Just came back from today's ride. I missed those D606 tires! They did a fantastic job on the 10 mile jeep trail in stair steps and bolder sections. Was able run 6 psi on the front tire and the grip in the sand and mud holes was perfect.
  10. Will keep and eye on Rekluse site to see when the new version goes on sale. Hopefully there will be an upgrade option for current 3.0 EXP owners.
  11. Waiting on deliver for the Rekluse. I did finish installing the Tubliss system in the rear tire, TT protection plates, and 14/47 gearing from Supersprox. Taking it out for it first dirt ride tomorrow to a place near the Blue Ridge Parkway, Southwest of Charlottesville, VA. Ordered the Zeta counter sprocket covre and should get that on at the same time as new Rekluse clutch. Have the 17L tank from Safari Tanks coming as I ordered directly from Australia this time and actually saved about $60 with the exchange rate including shipping. I had a DR-Z400S back in 2006 and did most the common engines mods, 3x3, jetting the carb, MRD exhaust, etc. Decided this time around to just leave the engine completely stock, even the snorkel left in. The only change made was removing the stock baffle from the muffler and putting new cover on just for the increase sound level. i want my new DRZ to be a regular trail bike with just enough goodies to enjoy the off-road riding. When I'm ready to go back to an Enduro I will do the high engine power thing again.
  12. Was able to install the first Tubliss tire insert on the front wheel last night. Put a new Dunlop D606 tire on and it took some effort to get the last 8 inches of the tire lip over the rim, but it's on. Once I get the new back tire with Tubliss on I will post of some pics. Installing the DRC tail light, skid plate, and side protection plates from ThumperTalk on tonight. Just didn't want to deal with a tire change two days in a row.
  13. Yes, the 3.0 EXP was what I ordered. Was confused after visiting so many sites to purchase I forgot exactly what the name of it was.
  14. Took the plunge an order a Rekluse 3.0 EXP for the new bike. Horrible experience with a new Beta 500 RS delivered with one from Beta USA, but read that many DRZ owners has had success with installing theirs. I'm hoping being a cable driven clutch will make this work well oppose to how the Beta USA installed Rekluse clutch failed to operate properly.
